FAQ
How is Abigail a Deveraux by name only?
Answer: Abby's father Jack is adopted.
His real name is William Earl Johnson. That makes Abby a Deveraux by
law and name, but not by blood.
The character of Abigail was first played by twins Megan and Michael Nelson, who played the role for two years. Then Ryanne and Paige Kettner played Abby for 3 1/2 years. They left the role in June 1998 and returned in November 2000. They were replaced with Megan Corletto in January 2001, when the character was de-aged. Abby was taken back to her normal age in August 2003 when Jillian Clare took over the role. In 2004, the character was aged to be 16 and Ashley Benson took over the role.
