Alexander Neil Curtis-Kiriakis was born on February 24, 1989, to Justin Kiriakis and Anjelica Curtis. Alexander was named after his grandfather Alexander, Justin's dad. His middle name was given to him by his mother, Anjelica. She named him Neil after her friend Neil Curtis, Anjelica's new husband, who was going to adopt Alexander so he could have father. The adoption never went though.
