When John walked into the penthouse Brady and Belle both asked "Where's mom?" John pretended not to know who they were talking about and then told them she was working and would be home later. |
John then told the kids they were the best and that he had really good news for them. |
John started to get a headache. Brady and Belle were really concerned for their father, asking "Are you ok? and What's wrong daddy?" |
John got control again and asked the kids "Are you ready for the really good news?" |
John told the kids he and Marlena were getting married. Brady and Belle tackled him, trying to get the date book so they could know when. John said they would be a big happy family. |
Belle and Brady ran to the piano and were banging on it and yelling "No, I am." They both wanted to play. John turned and yelled "I said, STOP!" Both Brady and Belle had a look of shock. |
John told them to go bug Chelsea. The kids walked by with sad faces. John then turned and said give me a hug. |
John then told the kids he loved them. Brady said "I love you too daddy." It was rare for John to yell at the kids. It was something that was happening more often. |
The family was going on a picnic. Marlena had no idea John had planned it. She asked Belle and Brady {Eric} if they knew and they nodded their heads. |
Each child had a ball to take to the park. John said, "Brady, you've got the soccer ball and Belle, you've got the football, so that's it. Let's get out of here." |
As they headed out, John asked Brady to help his mom with the cooler. He took hold of it and really helped Marlena carry it. What a strong guy Eric is. |
When they arrived, Brady was tossing his ball up in the air and catching it with the other hand. Belle wasn't sure where to put her ball, so she dropped it where she was. |
It was John and Belle against Brady and Marlena. John said, "Let's get Brady out of the way." He grabbed him and swung him back and forth, putting him down away from the ball. |
Next, John went after Marlena, the goalie, and tackled her. He cleared the way for Belle... |
...who scored a goal. Chelsea was very proud. She put her hands up in the air and cheered. |
After John tackled Marlena, they started kissing on the ground. Brady said, "Yuck, you can't kiss either." They better get used to that kissing since John and Marlena will be together forever. These pics also give us a first glimpse at a toothless Eric. Both his front teeth are missing. Another interesting fact: Chelsea's wardrobe in this episode was worn by Paige and Ryanne Kettner as Abby in the summer of 1997. |
Everyone headed to get a drink of water. Eric didn't want to just carry the ball, so he kicked it all the way to his spot on the picnic blanket. It sure shows that Eric and Brandon participate in sports. |
Brady was really thirsty. Belle didn't drink much of her water. |
Marlena told Brady that in some countries soccer is called football. After a game, they do something to the coach: "kiss him and hug him." |
Marlena, Belle and Brady all jumped on John to tackle him. The kids really seemed to like it. John didn't. |
