Brianna and Brittany McConnell

John asked Belle if she wanted to come down and play on the floor with him and Brady. Belle clung on to Kristen and wouldn't let go. Brianna didn't seem too clingy, but it made a good story.

The McConnell's first scene was June 15, 1995, while Marlena was still possessed. John figured it was only natural that Belle {Brittany} cling on to Kristen as if she was her mother, since Marlena had not been with Belle for so long.

John told Belle that he knew she missed her mommy. He told her she'd be right here if she could. Brittany seemed to enjoy playing with Drake's finger.

John reminded Belle {Brittany} that her mom loves her very much. John told Kristen he couldn't stand all the time Marlena had lost with her little girl.

Kristen said Belle {Brittany} was still a very loved girl. John agreed, but said he couldn't replace her mommy. Brittany showed just a hint of a smile.

Belle {Brittany} started to look up. John said she had just given him an answer. He said Marlena could never be a mother to Belle until he rid her of the demon.

Belle then pointed up to the sky as John made his decision to continue with the exorcism. Brittany seemed to just be pointing at the lights. It was her first day on the set and there was a lot to look at. Her actions fit perfectly in the story though. It seemed that little Belle was pointing to heaven and asking for her mother to be saved.

Chelsea, Belle {Brianna} and Brady's nanny had to leave. She brought Belle into John. This was right after Marlena's "death" during the possession storyline. John told Belle "You are too young to really understand the loss you suffered today."

Brianna seemed to be looking everywhere but at Drake. She was looking over her shoulder for most of the scene.

John held Belle {Brianna} in the air and said "You look just like your mama."

John gave Belle {Brianna} to Caroline, so she could go put her to bed. It was getting late.

The next day, John again spoke with Belle {Brianna} about the loss of her mother. He stroked her cheek and reminded her how precious she was to him and her mommy.

Brianna was busy chewing on whatever she could find. She was chewing on the ribbon on her outfit, then started chewing on Ernie. She eventually had both Ernie and the ribbon in her mouth.

John had Belle standing on the counter. He was telling her he was sorry for letting her Mama die. Belle {Brittany} then said "Mama."

John was absolutely stunned that Belle {Brittany} would say Mama, since it had been so long since she'd seen her mother.

Brittany was chewing on a car. You could hear her chewing on the rubber tire. She would look up every once in awhile, then go back to chewing.

Brittany did stop her chewing for a bit to watch Peggy's reaction to Drake's words. She seemed to understand the intensity of what was going on.

John took Belle's first word "Mama" as a sign that Marlena was alive. He left Belle {Brittany} with Caroline and went to see Marlena one last time.

Brittany continued to hold on to the car as she watched Drake leave. Both girls must have been teething. They were chewing on anything they got their hands on.
