Candace and Lauren were cast in the roles of Joey and Victor after a talent manager saw their names in a birth announcement at the time when they were desperately trying to cast the roles on Days. "After three weeks of persistence, their dad (Robert) was convinced to take a day off" and take the babies to an audition, said the girls' mom, Denise. While the girls continued on camera, Denise says, older brother Courtland went from "total attention as an only child to becoming envious of what the twins were doing. He had a commercial audition when he was 5 and has worked ever since." Justin and Adrienne were so happy when their children were born. They had waited so long to have children together. Justin and Adrienne didn't find out that JJ was pregnant with twins until she was nearly due. She had hesitated to tell them, but they were estatic.

Jo {Joy Garrett} came over to Justin and Adrienne's because there was an important announcement. While she waited for the other guest to arrive, she sat by the baby who would soon be named Victor {Candace}.

Adrienne and Justin each chose a name for one of the boys. Adrienne said she wanted to give the baby a name that meant love. She wanted her son {Lauren} to be like his namesake.

Adrienne passed her son to Jo, announcing that his name was Joseph {Lauren}. Jo was stunned. She asked, "He's named after me?"

Jo admired her grandson {Lauren}. She couldn't believe that he was named after her. Justin said they would call him Joey.

Justin said that there was one person who had been the strongest influence in his life Only one name kept coming back to him for the baby. He said it seemed only right that the baby was named Victor {Candace}.

Justin passed Victor {Candace} to his Great Uncle Victor.

Justin said he knew that they hadn't been as close in recent months, but he still wanted his son {Candace} to have his Uncle's name. He asked Victor if he was surprised by the announcement.

Adrienne took a picture of her sons with their namesakes. Jo held young Joseph while Victor held little Victor. Justin decided to hop in the photo too.

Justin and Adrienne were very proud parents. They called Joey and Victor their "beautiful baby boys." Actually, both babies were being played by girls. In recent years, the trend of casting babies of the opposite sex continued. Since the Meads, Michael Nelson played Abby and Lauren and Alyssa Libby played baby Isaac/baby John.
