Just before Theo's
christening, Abe looked at this family photo. Lexie was
worried about their family. Abe didn't know what to
think.

Abe picked Theo up from the
playpen. He told Theo that he was ready to retire, so he
could spend all of his time with his "beautiful wife" and
son.

Then Abe told Lexie and Theo,
"I am not going to let anything happen to keep this dream
from coming true."

As Abe talked with Lexie, Theo
turned to look up at him. Then he saw Abe's mustache and
started grabbing for it. Abe knew what he was trying to
grab, so he pulled Theo's hand back and gave him a kiss,
before putting his hand down.

Lexie continued to warn Abe.
She told him to "promise me you won't do anything to
antagonize anyone today." Abe replied, "You have my word
Mrs. Carver."

Lexie told Abe that she loved
him. He said he did too, "more than you'll ever know." She
then said, "I wouldn't have a life without you." Abe told
her to take Theo and go. It was a bit hard for her to get a
good hold on him, since he was already in his christening
dress.

Lexie laid down more rules for
him..."Get to church on time." Abe said, "I'll be early."
She continued, "and don't even think about opening the door
without wearing your bullet proof vest." He answered, "You
got it." Abe kissed Lexie and Theo. Then she went to the
door and headed out. Abe went over to the desk and pulled
out his gun. {9.18.03}
Lexie and Hope took the boys
for a walk
in Salem Place. Lexie was
still very worried, but she told Hope it was because her
nails were already chipped before the christening started.
Hope reassured Lexie that she was there to support her. She
told Lexie that nothing would happen to her family. The Days
prop and continuity department made a goof in this scene.
The green plaid stroller that Theo rode in was last seen
being pushed by Shawn and Julie, with Zack
in it last summer. Before that, J.T.
rode in the stroller, which made sense, since Bo and Hope
were the parents of both tykes. The blue stroller that Zack
rode in here has quite a history with Days. It has been used
by Brady,
Will
and Isaac
(when he was with Abe and Lexie), but never by Zack since he
was returned to Bo and Hope.

Hope arrived at the church
with Zack, at Lexie's request. Hope and Celeste spoke before
Lexie arrived. Celeste told Hope of her premonition. She had
seen Abe in a casket, with black flowers around him. Lexie
arrived as Celeste was speaking and of course she overheard
what she was saying. The episode ended with Lexie and Theo,
both looking in shock. {9.18.03}
Jenn and Lexie had no idea
that they would suffer the same fate in 2003. Both women
lost their husbands that year and became single
parents.

Abe never arrived for his
son's baptism. He had been "killed" by the Salem Stalker on
his way to the event.
