John read Belle a fairy tale. She wanted to wait for her mommy to come home. Brady had already fallen asleep according to the story, but actually Eric and Brandon were very sick and couldn't go to the studio that day. It was the only time they ever missed a work day in their five years on Days.

John was doing all the voices and actions, trying to keep Belle's mind off her mommy.

John snapped his teeth as if he was going to bite Belle. Just then, Marlena walked in.

Belle yelled out "Mommy." She was so excited to see her Mommy. Drake got a big kick out of how Chelsea yelled out "Mommy." As he stood up to take her to Marlena he said "Belle wanted to wait up for her 'MOMMY'," saying it just like Chelsea did.

Belle then reached over and kissed her mommy. Chelsea {Lena} walked down the stairs so she could take Belle up to bed.

John then told Belle "Don't forget you have a sledding date with dear ol' Dad." Chelsea looked back at Drake, then turned herself around in his arms to give him a big hug.

Drake was very ready for this surprise hug. Chelsea and Drake had huge smiles after the big hug.

John told the kids that he and Marlena were getting married. Brady and Belle were going to be the flower girl and ring bearer. John told Belle they were going to buy her a new dress, but it wouldn't be as pretty as mommy's. Chelsea showed real excitement for the dress. She then lost the smile when Drake said it wasn't going to be as pretty.

Chelsea and Brandon were part of a hard scene. They were playing and making lots of noise, and then John yelled at them. It was hard because they had to pretend to be upset. They both gave a great look of shock as Drake yelled "Stop." All three kids have a great relationship with Drake. They got big hugs after the scene was over.

Belle had an important role in John and Marlena's wedding as their flower girl. Chelsea spent her time between takes modeling her dress. It is a Jessica McClintock from Jessica McClintock. Chelsea has become very close friends with Eric (seen here) and Brandon Billings and Shawn (seen here) and Taylor Carpenter. During the days the wedding was filmed, the five children played together most of the day, taking just a bit of time out for resting. {photo courtesy Nancy Lewis, which was sent via Calicia}

Belle walked down the aisle and Brady followed. Their father, John, was waiting at the altar. He gave Belle a kiss and Brady a high five.

Belle took her seat with Alice {Frances Reid}, Maggie {Suzanne Rogers} and Mickey Horton {John Clarke}. Chelsea looked pretty bored until it was her turn to shine.

John and Marlena included all of "their" kids in the wedding. As the priest spoke about uniting a family together, Sami looked back at her little sister Belle.

John and Marlena called Belle the "daisy" of the family, being able to light up anyone with her smile. This is our last closeup of Belle as a young girl.

Belle stood with her brother Brady and her dad to take a picture after the wedding. Chelsea looked right over at the camera.

Belle got a chance to meet her cousin Nicholas Alamain. He gave her a lift so she could see the wedding cake being cut. Chelsea got a chance to interact with a lot of different cast members during the wedding.

This picture of the young Belle and Brady will forever be in our minds. Chelsea and Brandon loved dancing together. They seemed to have a bit of a crush on one another. This episode marked Chelsea's 19th appearance as Isabella Black.

Chelsea made a special appearance on September 14, 2000. She played young Belle in a flashback with Dyllan Christopher {Murphy Brown} who played young Shawn. Belle was crying because she had dropped her Buddy Bear into the river.

Shawn told Belle not to cry. He was going to dive in the river and get the bear back. Belle said, "No, Shawn. I don't want to lose you too."

Belle was very concerned about Shawn jumping in. There were a few problems with this flashback. Obviously it wasn't real. Belle didn't call Shawn, "Shawn-D" or "Shawn Douglas," which is what everyone called Shawn when he was younger.

Shawn told Belle "Don't worry, you will never lose me."

It was great seeing Chelsea again. She was as adorable as ever playing little Belle. Hopefully this was just the beginning of a full series of flashbacks. We can hope.

In 2001, Chelsea appeared in the Michael Paxton and Matthew McConaughey film, Frailty. Her father was the Director of Photography on the film, which was Paxton's directorial debut. {movie cover courtesy IMDB.com}

Chelsea played a little girl who was the victim of a killer. He picked her up in his car. Then we saw her eating her ice cream in the seat next to him. Next, we saw him dragging her limp body out of the car.

Where are they now? 2005...
Chelsea is now nearly 12 and in 6th grade. She's taken a short break from acting as she's at the age when she's constantly changing. She plans to return shortly and is keeping her headshots updated. Chelsea enjoys traveling and often accompanies her father on his location shoots. Last fall she traveled to Bucharest, which was a great experience for her. She returned through London, stopping to see a couple of plays (Little Women and Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang). Most importantly to Chelsea she wanted to see where Peter Pan lived when not in Neverland. Chelsea loves fairies.
