Week 3 started out with Erik
going against the rest of the team. Erik was offered a
chance to get an exemption, but first he had to buy a canoe
and then get the flag before the other team members, who
were trying to make a boat for all five of them to float on.
He got the money by digging in the sand for it.
When he got out to the flag,
Ahmad offered him $60,000 for not excepting the exemption.
Erik thought about, but decided that he knew enough about
the mole to give up the exemption.
Erik was confused about how
the other players reacted to his announcement of giving up
the exemption. Some thought he was the mole because of it.
Some were happy that he got more money for the pot, but
others were confused as to why he gave it up.
Corbin and Erik talked about
who they thought the mole was. They both agreed it was
Michael. We're not too sure that Erik really believed that,
but he wasn't giving up any info to Cobin.
During the next challenge
everyone had to answer one question. If they got the
question wrong, then they had to pick a chili pepper to eat.
Erik missed his question and then ate his pepper. He said
before they started that he hated peppers, any peppers. But
he ate it, even opening his mouth while everyone said,
"Looky, Looky" so they all knew he really bit it. He won
$10,000 for the pot.
Fredrique refused to eat just
one bite of a pepper. If she would have, then the pot would
have been doubled. Erik was very disappointed in her for
refusing. She said she hated peppers and wasn't going to do
it for any amount of money.
During dinner Ahmad asked for
one page from everyone's book. In Michael's book he talked
about Erik and how he might be the mole. Erik laughed it
off.
Erik's name was the first name
typed of the night. Ahmad picks a name at random and enters
it into the computer and then if it turns green they stay,
red they leave.
Erik's screen turned green. He
is on his way to week four. Corbin was the unlucky player
that was sent packing this week.

Erik and Michael had to dance as hula dancers while the girls tried to surf. Erik was enjoying himself, Michael was not happy about dancing in this outfit.
Ahmad offered Erik 10,000 dollars for the pot if he could stay up longer then Fredrique did. Since Kathy never made it up they didn't get any money for the dancing or surfing. Erik said he could stay up for a minute. Everyone laughed since no real waves were out that day and Fredrique had such a hard time staying up for 10 seconds. Erik thought he could do better, even though he said he wasn't a surfer. Kinda hard to believe, I guess he only skateboards.
Erik thought it was funny that he didn't make it surfing. He was proud of Fredrique for making it for so long.
Erik and Kathy did a quiz as a team they were paired againest Michael and Fredrique, they won. Then they were quized apart and Erik beat Kathy by 3 seconds.
He was able to compete for an exemption. He had to play memory with a deck of cards and the other players were taken five miles away blind folded and had to find their own way back to stop Erik from getting the exemption. Erik was very excited to get the exemption.
Erik was exempted from the final quiz. Michael was excuted and Erik went on to week five.
