Hannah Wales was born to Sally Wales in April 1989 at University Hospital. Sally was a homeless mother who had deliberately bungled a robbery, so she'd be arrested, hoping to make jail a home for her and her baby after it was born. Unfortunately, the prison didn't allow babies, as Sally had hoped. So, she would spend her next three years in prison, away from her daughter.
Foster mother: Jennifer Horton
Jennifer ran into Sally following the
robbery and recognized her as someone who helped her 4-5 years
earlier, when she was living on the streets after leaving boarding
school. Jennifer was determined to help Sally and her baby any way
she could. Jack even contacted the social worker on the case and
arranged a meeting, where he and Jennifer posed as husband and wife.
After their case was reviewed, Social Services decided that due to
Jack's past, he wasn't eligible. Jennifer decided to go at it alone
and became Hannah's foster mother. Jack helped her care for the
infant, but it put a strain on her and kept her from completing her
assignments at The Spectator. Sally contacted her parents and made up
with them, so they came to reclaim Hannah to raise her while Sally
was in jail. Little did Hannah know what a major role she had played
in getting Jack and Jennifer closer to being a couple.
Only one actress played Hannah, Desiree Neriz.
