Zack Brady (Isaac Theo Carver)
was born at University Hospital on June 9, 2000 to Bo and
Hope
Brady. However, Stefano had Dr.
Rolf switch Hope's and Marlo's babies. So, the baby was instead taken
home, named Isaac Theo Carver (after Abraham's son, Isaac, in the
bible, and Abe's deceased brother, Theo) and raised by Abe and Lexie
Carver, who had planned to adopt Marlo's baby. It was not until May
2002 that the boy who had been raised as Isaac was reunited with his
biological parents, Bo and Hope. He was then renamed Beauregard Isaac
Theo Brady, or "Zack" for short, in an effort to change the boy's
name as little as possible, since he was now two years old.

At birth, the character of Isaac was
played by Joshua and Jacob Rips. Due to the "baby switch" storyline,
the character of Isaac was then played by Alyssa and Lauren Libby.
Sam and Max Christy took over the role in 2001 and were later
replaced by Garrett, Spencer and Mitchell Gray.
