Jillian took over the role of Abigail on August 28, 2003. Unlike many of Days' young actors, she is a showbiz vet. When Jillian took over the role of Abby, the character was aged to be her actual real-time age, a soap rarity.

Jillian Clare (she uses her first name and middle name as her stage name) was born July 25, 1992 and was named after a character from Star Trek IV, The Voyage Home. Originally from the beautiful Northwest, Jillian loves pets, especially dogs, likes to sing and dance and is a big fan of Even Stevens and the movie "Chicago". She has been an on-stage performer since age 5 and has won many vocal talent awards. Jillian began her acting career when she was 6 1/2, entertaining people across the Northwest with her 1-person original musical, "A Dream is a Wish". Now a resident of Los Angeles, Jillian is pursuing her career in TV and movies, while also working towards her singing goals. She continues to regularly appear on-stage in both musicals and dramatic plays, and has many national commercials to her credit. Her most recent movie work includes: Quigley (2003) as Megan Channing, Truth and Dare (2003) as Clio, Wishing Time (2003) as Young Maggie, Catch Me if You Can (2002) ADR voice of little girl, While Supplies Last (2002) as Cathy Morrison. {pic and bio courtesy imdb.com}

In 2002, Jillian's memorable work in a national spot for Children's Tylenol earned her a Young Artist Award nomination. She has filmed several national commercials, including those for Sprint, Burger King, Totino's Pizza rolls, First 5 California, Philip Morris (2001) and Pound Puppies (2000). {pics courtesy childstarlets.com}

Jillian was an Honored Guest at the 2003 Southern California Special Olympics Summer Games. She participated in the Opening Ceremony by joining in the Parade of Athletes as a delegation host and area sign bearer. In addition to cheering them on, Jillian presented medals to the athletes at the Awards Ceremony. Jillian Clare won a 2004 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Television Series, Comedy or Drama - Recurring Young Actress at the 25th annual Young Artists Awards. The awards ceremony was held on May 8, 2004 in Hollywood. Jillian received the award in recognition for her compelling performance as "Abby Deveraux" in NBC's DAYS OF OUR LIVES. The Young Artist Awards recognizes young artists under the age of 18 in television, motion pictures, theater and music. Jillian was in great company with the other nominees in this category: Katilin Cullum (8 Simple Rules), Hallee Hirsh (JAG), Erin Sanders (Carnivale), Scout Taylor-Compton (The Gilmore Girls) and Brittney Wilson (Romeo). {photos and info courtesy Susan}

 

For the second year in a row, Jillian Clare is a double nominee for the 2005 Young Artist Awards. After taking home the trophy last year, Jillian is again nominated for Best Performance in a Television Series - Recurring Young Actress, for her powerful performance portraying pre-teen 'Abby Deveraux' on NBC's DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Also, Jillian is nominated for Best Performance in a Short Film, for her role in the award winning film, Chasing Daylight. The Young Artist Awards recognizes the performances during the previous year of young artists in television, motion pictures, theater and music.

Jillian appeared in the blockbuster Spider-Man, the feature film Quigley, which earned her a 2004 Young Artist Award nomination, plus numerous other feature and short films. In 2003, Jillian was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Television Commercial, recognizing her memorable work for Children's Tylenol.

The Young Artist Awards will celebrate their 26th Annual Awards Ceremony and Banquet on Saturday, April 30th, 2005.

In 2005, Jillian won a Young Artist Award her role of Abby in the category of Best Performance in a Television Series for a Recurring Young Actress. Although no longer in the role, Jillian took home the award for the second year in a row. Darcy Rose Byrnes, who coincidentally, also plays an "Abby," won for her role as well, on Y&R, as Best Supporting Actress/10 or younger..   The two became good buddies at the event and posed for some pics.
