Jonathan Thornton

When Johnny arrived at Anjelica's he thought he had found Justin's son all on his own. But that wasn't true. Anjelica was giving up her son, so she could come out of hiding. She was ready to give Adrienne and Justin custody of her son.
Johnny bent down to Alexander's height and said, "Well, if it isn't Alexander Kiriakis." Jonathan was busy putting animal crackers in his mouth, shoving in whole crackers.
Anjelica picked up Alexander and put him in the stroller. Jonathan was not too happy about this. He started to cry and stood up and hugged Judith. It went well with the scene because it looked as if he didn't want to leave his mommy.
Anjelica started to cry and told Alexander to listen to her. She told him he was going away to live with his daddy who loves him.
Judith got Jonathan to sit down and stay until she started to cry again. She told him "Always remember that your mommy loves you and be a good boy."
Anjelica cried even more when she said her last words to her son, "Never call her mommy, Never call her mama." She was talking about Adrienne. Anjelica and Adrienne never got along. It broke her heart to think about her son calling her "Mommy."
Alexander grabbed hold of his mommy and hugged her tight. Jonathan just wanted out of the stroller, but the scene looked great. Johnny picked him up, hoping he wouldn't cry. Jonathan cried more as they began to walk out the door.
Not even the pacifer helped. Alexander spit it out and then started to cry "mommy." It went well with the scene. It wasn't unusual to see Jonathan cry onscreen. He was often fussy and since he didn't have a twin to replace him, they just let him cry through scenes.
Johnny got on the plane and headed back to Salem. Alexander was watching every move he made.
It was rare to see Jonathan not eating anything or sucking on his pacifer. He was very content listing to Antony Alda talk on the phone. Johnny was calling April to tell her he had a surprise for her.
Johnny put the phone by Alexander and told him to say "Hi" to April. Jonathan didn't say anything but he did smile a little.
Johnny got off the phone and looked over at Alexander, who was looking at him and said "Can you say Uncle Johnny?" Alexander just looked at him.
When Johnny got off the plane with Alexander, April {Lisa Howard} was waiting for him. Johnny told her "Here is the surprise I told you about." Johnny didn't explain anything. He just told her to watch him and not let anyone see him. He also gave her the animal crackers and said, "He loves these."
Alexander turned and watched Johnny leave.
Jonathan was content in the stroller this time, only starting to cry when Johnny left. He was taking the pacifer out of his mouth, showing it to Lisa {April} and then putting it back in. Too cute!!
Jonathan was a little doll. He had dimples on both cheeks, just like his onscreen father, Justin, played by Wally Kurth. The cast called him "little dimples".
Justin hugs Alexander after being reunited with the son he believed was dead in a plane crash. This was the last episode Jonathan appeared in because the Kiriakises moved to Dallas after this episode.
Jonathan was interested in something off-stage. He was pointing to it, saying "Birdie." Wally just repeated what he said and tried to get him to put his hand down.
Jonathan was chewing on some candy taffy. He was trying to bite it, but it was really hard. Wally asked if he should be eating it. He just kept on tugging on it with his mouth.
Jonathan looks incredibly tired in this scene, but still he doesn't fuss.
Jonathan seems to have co-star Antony Alda {Johnny Corelli} pegged as a trouble-maker. Johnny was trying to convince Justin that he had good intentions in bringing Alexander back to Justin.
Can't you just see Jonathan charming the girls a few years from now?
Justin and Alexander share a moment on the "Adrienne and Justin memorial park bench" before they leave Salem.
Some last shots of the happy family.
