Lauren and Alyssa, born April 4, 2000, were cast to play one of the new babies born in Salem in June 2000. They played baby John Brady at his birth, but due to the "baby switch" storyline, now play the role of baby Isaac Theo Carver.

John Brady/Isaac Theo Carver

The birth of John Brady

Dr. Bader delivered baby Brady. She announced "You have another son." Bo and Shawn were both present for the birth of the baby {Alyssa}.

The nurse handed baby Brady {Lauren} to his mom Hope, while big brother Shawn looked on along with Bo. Bo had mixed feelings about the baby.

Hope looked at the baby {Lauren} and said "I am so happy to see you."

The priest was ready to leave and said "Congratulations on your marriage and your new son." Bo and Hope were married for the second time just moments before the baby {Lauren} made his way into the world.

Hope looked at Bo and asked "Is everything ok?" Bo looked at her and said "Everything is perfect." Alyssa as John Thomas.

Hope then asked Bo "Would you like to hold your son?" Bo was happy to accept. Peter held Alyssa close so she wouldn't cry, she still cried.

Everything he thought about this baby went away when he held him in his arms. Bo said to the baby, "Hey big guy, welcome to the family."

Hope to Bo: "That's what I needed to see. My husband holding our son {Alyssa} that we made together." Bo got a strange look on his face but didn't say anything about the baby not being his.

Shawn hugged his mom and kissed her while Bo was holding the baby {Alyssa}.

The first thing Peter Reckell did when he held the baby was put his finger in her mouth so she wouldn't cry. Alyssa accepted the finger for a little while and then started to cry again.

This is the same thing he did when Shawn Douglas was born. It has to be something that Peter does on his own that is not written in the script. The babies seem to like his finger and always stop crying even if only for a short time. Alyssa as John Thomas.

Bo kissed the baby {Alyssa} on his forehead, as Hope was talking about being a family again. Bo wasn't to sure what to say, but you could see the love that he had for his new family.

The nurse was taking the baby to the nursery to put his ID bracelet on and to run some tests. Shawn said, "Do you have to take him now? I haven't had a chance to hold him yet." The Dr. Bader said, "I am sure you will have lots of chances to hold him."

When the nurse from the morning shift came in for her rounds of the nursery she found baby Brady {L: Libby} in the Carver baby crib and the Carver baby {R: Rips} in the Brady baby crib. She got upset with the nurse on duty. Until the nurse said she didn't touch the babies. "I just came in a few minutes ago." The nurses IDed the babies by their ID bracelets. But Rolf made the bracelets and they changed names somehow when they were placed on the babies (something only Stefano could make happen). So now the babies were switched.

Life as Isaac Theo Carver

John Brady began his life as Isaac Theo Carver only hours after he was born. The nurses took the babies to their moms and gave Lexie the baby that she believed was hers. It was actually Hope's baby.

Hope and Lexie both made a comment about the babies looking different. Then Lexie said, "But I would know him anywhere." This is Lauren as Isaac.
