In early 2000, Megan appeared
in a commercial for the Chevy Venture minivan. At the
beginning of the commercial, the family is traveling in the
van. Megan is the smallest child, sitting in her carseat,
enjoying a juicebox.
Suddenly, we see someone
burrowing toward the van. The seat next to Megan folds down
and something is moving around inside the seat. Megan is
very surprised and looks at it curiously.
The burrowing continues up to
the roof and Bugs Bunny pops out on the van's DVD screen.
Megan laughs as she watches the Bugs Bunny cartoon on the
special Chevy Venture with the integrated DVD and child
carseat. It's a special Warner Brothers minivan.
This was the first time
viewers saw Megan on DAYS. She played "Little Girl in the
Garden." It was at the end of the Garden of Eden storyline
with Greta {Julianne Morris} and Austin {Austin Peck}. She
appeared out of nowhere and gave Austin and Greta clean
clothes to wear. {September

Megan appeared one more time
and gave Greta and Austin hair styles. TPTB thought she was
the greatest young actress to ever walk through the door.
She stole the role of Abby from Paige and Ryanne Kettner.
Even though she is younger then the Kettner twins and even
younger than the "reel" Abby Deveraux, she got the part.
There are big things in store for this little girl. When
TPTB are willing to change storylines to make room for you,
"you know you are a star." (At least star
material.)
Megan aired on January 31,
2001 as Abigail Johanna Deveraux aka Abby. Abby walked into
her Great Grandma Alice's kitchen and Jennifer, her mom,
asked "Are you done with your home work?" Abby answered,
"Not yet." {01/31/01}
Then Great Grandma Alice
asked, "Why the long face?" Abby said, "There is a father
and daughter lunch tomorrow at school and all the little
girls are going to have their dads there." Jenn asked, "Why
didn't you tell me?" Abby asked, "It doesn't matter anyway."

Jenn said, "The school didn't
even send a notice home. But there will be lots of girls
without their dads there." Abby got really sad and said, "At
least the other kids know why their dads won't be there. I
don't even know where my dad is."

We're not sure as to why the
powers that be thought it was a good idea to recast Abby.
Rumors are that there will be a custody case between Jack
and Jennifer. Everyone is surprised that Abby has brown hair
now. This might be another reason for the recast. Megan as
Abby looks more like Jack. Matthew Ashford has brown hair
and blue eyes. Anyway, Megan did a great job showing emotion
and talking clearly. We look forward to watching her again.
