Rachel played Ben for the first few months, mainly from his birth until Wendy returned to take care of her child, whom she had left in the care of Jonah and Austin.

Austin {Patrick Muldoon} and Jonah {Thyme Lewis} had no idea how to care for Benjamin. Wendy was nowhere to be found. She left her son with Austin and Jonah because they both had jobs and a roof over their heads. Something Wendy couldn't offer her son just yet. |
| Ben wouldn't stop crying and Jonah didn't know what to do. Austin asked "What do the nurses do at the hospital when the babies cry in the nursery?" Jonah started naming things they had already tried and then said "A pacifer. Do we have one?" Austin hurried and found one in the diaper bag that Wendy left. Ben finally stopped crying. |  |

Jonah hurried and gave Ben to Austin because someone was at the door. It was Lexie. Jonah didn't want anyone to know they had Wendy's baby, especially Lexie or Abe, since they were both police officers. |

Lexie heard the baby. Jonah and Austin couldn't do anything else but plead with Lexie not to turn the baby over to Social Services. They both said that Wendy loves the baby and wants to keep him. |  |
| Lexie said "I am a cop, guys." She tried, but she also fell in love with Ben and couldn't turn him over to Social Services. |  |

Lexie told them she wouldn't take the baby, as long as Wendy was back in one week. Wendy returned just in time to save Ben from Social Services. |  |
