Joshua and Jacob Rips

Since Barb and Glen had not prepared to have J.T., they didn't have any clothes or supplies for him. J.T. was in the same blue outfit for weeks. Offscreen, it meant the Rips {Joshua here} wore those PJs for three weeks of taping.

JT {Joshua} was somewhat calm when he was in the arms of Glen. They arrived at the apartment and the first thing Glen wanted to do was get a DNA sample. {6/6/01}

Barb was sitting on the couch holding a very upset JT {Joshua}. Glen went to leave the room and Barb freaked out, yelling at him not to leave her with "This screaming kid. It is not my idea of fun to be taking care of a screaming kid, not to mention Marlo's screaming kid." Barb kept telling Glen that something was wrong, he shouldn't be crying all the time. {6/6/01}

Glen came back to calm Barb down. Telling her just wants to do the DNA test and get the results, that way no one can take his child. While J.T. was with Barb and Glen, he was continually fussy. For Jacob and Joshua {shown here}, it meant they were with new actors they weren't yet comfortable with. For J.T., it meant that he wasn't with his parents. Jacob and Joshua might not have been acting, but their reactions fit perfectly into the story. {6/6/01}

Barb tried to explain that the Carvers have money and they will get "Isaac" back. Glen or Barb had on idea that they had JT Brady, not Isaac Carver. Glen wasn't going to hear it, he just wanted his son and now he has him.

JT {Joshua} calmed down as the scene went on. He chewed on his finger a little bit and just keep watching Glen and Barb. Glen decided that he needed to hide out with "Isaac" so the police wouldn't find him before the results came back. Barb agreed but she wasn't going with him. {6/6/01}

Glen took JT and gave Barb a kiss goodbye. {6/6/01}

After Glen and JT left, Barb was watching TV and saw a news report about a missing baby in Salem. They showed this pictured of JT {Jacob} and then Bo and Hope talked about their missing son and his medical needs. Barb freaked out since she had no idea where Glen was even at. {6/6/01}
