The next show opened with JT
bouncing with Bo. He had him up on a table and Joshua was
really using his legs to move. Bo told JT, "You haven't been
with us very long, but when you weren't here, there was a
big gaping hole in the family."

Shawn arrived home finally and
Bo turned JT around so he could see his brother. JT fussed
for a second and everyone focused their attention on him.
Peter put the blanket on Joshua's face and then pulled it
away. The actors continued talking. Then, the next thing we
see is Joshua pulling the blanket up to his face on his own
to bury his head, laughing the whole time. Of course,
everyone in the scene ends up being focused on him.

Joshua wasn't done charming.
He hid his face again, then popped out laughing. Jason could
barely get his lines out. Everyone was laughing with JT.

Shawn prompted Belle to come
in. She came carrying a birthday cake and singing "Happy
Birthday." Everyone joined in. JT {Joshua} looked at his
cake as it sat on the table. {6/15/01}

New scene...no more binker,
just fingers to chew on. Hope thanked Belle for helping with
JT {Joshua}. {6/15/01}

Bo said JT was ready to blow
out his candles. Bo and Hope leaned down with him and JT
{Joshua} grabbed for the cake. Bo held him back so he
couldn't touch it. JT didn't quite seem to understand what
was going on. He gave the cake a strange
look.

Shawn and Belle had been to
Salem Place before coming for the party. They went out to
get the presents they had bought for JT. Shawn held out a
basketball and said, "This, buddy, is what we call a
basketball." Joshua reached right for it and Jason adlibbed,
"Oh, look, he goes right for
it."
Joshua couldn't get enough
of this ball. He pulled it up to hid behind it, grabbed for
it, tried to suck on it, and then began kicking it with his
feet while batting at it with his hands. He smiled the whole
time.

Just playing with the ball
wasn't enough. Joshua had to talk to it too. He started
saying, "Blah, blah" as he played with it, sticking his
tongue way out. Peter tried to entertain Joshua with the
blanket as he had before, but he just pushed it out of the
way, grabbing for the ball instead. He nearly pulled
himselves out of Peter's arms, leaning all the way onto the
basketball and putting it in his
mouth.
