Joshua and Jacob Rips

Jennifer came over to talk to Hope about Gran. First they started talking about the front page news about the Last Blast and what happened with Chloe Lane. Jennifer forgot that Shawn attends Salem High so they already knew about it. {7/17/01}

JT was busy trying to grab Shawn's mouth as he talked. Hope grabbed his hand and started smiling and playing with him so Shawn could talk. Jason and Kristian are very good with the babies. They will do anything to keep them happy on-screen. Jennifer said, "With all the problems in school these days, it makes me want to keep Abby at home." Shawn said, "You don't have to worry. A lot of the kids and teachers like Mr. Woods are trying to change things and make school a better place. So then when Abby and JT go to high school things will be better." {7/17/01}

Hope then changed the subject. "Jenn, you said you had something important to tell me." Jennifer said, "It is about Gran." Everyone got a worried look on their face, except for JT, who was watching Hope clap at him. {7/17/01}

Jenn then said, "No, Gran is fine. It is about something that happened in the past. Remember the ruby that Grandpa gave Gran?" Hope: "of course I do, she used to let me hold it up to the light and watch it shine." Jenn said, "Gran lost it. She took it into the jewelers to have it updated and the jeweler was robbed. Gran got a fake one to replace it. But she never told anyone until the other night when she told me." Hope and Shawn couldn't believe it. They wanted to do anything to find the ruby for Gran. {7/17/01}

JT started to fuss while everyone was talking about the ruby, since no one was giving him any attention. So Shawn turned him around and hugged him. He liked that and stopped fussing right away. {7/17/01}

Shawn, Hope and Jenn were all very excited to start looking for the ruby. Shawn said, "No trail is too old or cold for dad, we can have him help us." They were all planning on looking for the ruby. Shawn then took JT upstairs. He was in need of a change and Shawn was willing to take care of it for his mom. {7/17/01}

Shawn took JT up to his room to change him. Afterward he asked him if he wanted to watch a music video or better yet, a Curious George movie. {7/17/01}

Shawn held JT up so he could kiss his cheek. He said, "Look at that smile. You're such a cutie pie!." {7/17/01}

Shawn then said, "Someday a girl will put a smile like that on your face." JT got real excited when Shawn started to talk with him. He was smiling and clapping. Jason was just talking and adding in words as Joshua responded. {7/17/01}

Male Bonding! This was a very cute scene of male bonding. Jason and Joshua worked well together. Joshua was hamming it up for the camera, laughing, clapping and smiling. {7/17/01}

Shawn started talking about girls, saying someday JT might ask one to the dance too. He then sat JT down so he could finish buttoning his shorts. He said, "We will always talk. Just you and me." JT then started hitting the bed and Shawn played into it saying, "Yep, right here on this bed. We will always talk about girl things. Just a little note, if you talk to mom she will get mushy on you." {7/17/01}

Joshua was so cute in this scene. He was so happy and interactive with Jason. They truly were having a "Male Bonding" moment. {7/17/01}
