Joshua and Jacob Rips

It was the night of Hope's "Mother of the Year" party, given by Lexie. Bo was just arriving home, but everyone else was ready to go. Shawn and JT answered the door and told him Hope was "seriously upset" about him being late. {12/6/01}

Hope was clearly upset. She asked Bo why he was trying to ruin his evening. He said he wasn't, but he didn't understand the big deal about the party. He considered her the "mother of the millennium" and he didn't see the need to dress up in a "monkey suit" to tell everyone that. But, he said, he would do it for her. Shawn and JT listened in. Shawn was trying to hang back and not get involved, so he just worked to straighten JT's tux. {12/6/01}

After hearing Bo would do it "just for her, his beautiful, wonderful, amazing wife," Shawn said, "Oh, what a guy." Hope said that Bo was trying to make her feel guilty. She was trying to make sure Shawn and JT were on her side. {12/6/01}

Bo told Hope if he wasn't down in 10 minutes, he'd wash her hair for a week and pamper her in many other ways. Shawn said he didn't want the details, but he would time him. He looked at his watch as Bo ran up the stairs. JT turned and watched him go. {12/6/01}

Lexie had two portraits commissioned for the party. One was of JT and Hope and the other with Isaac and Lexie. The two portraits stood in the living room during the party. {12/7/01}
