Joshua and Jacob Rips

Everyone woke up in the nursery. Shawn went over and got JT out of his crib. Hope told Bo, "This is our last morning with him." Shawn gave his little brother kisses. JT {Jacob} wanted a ball that must have been in the crib, he kept pointing down to it and saying ball. {4/29/02}

Hope changed JT's diaper while Shawn went to check on Jan. Bo and Hope watched JT as he sat and played on the changing table. Hope talked about singing to him and how he liked that. She wondered if her mom ever sang to her. But she doesn't know because she doesn't remember. Bo said, "After watching you with your son, she must have." {4/29/02}

Shawn came back into the room and Hope asked, "How's Jan?" As Shawn and Hope talked about Jan, Bo played with JT. Peter was play biting Jacob's foot. Jacob was laughing and having fun. {4/29/02}

JT was talking and making noise. Shawn walked over and took him from Bo. He told him "Come to your brother." JT then said, "Brr" for brother. Shawn copied him and said, "Yes, I am your brr." {4/29/02}

Hope said "Well, we all can't stand around in our PJ's all day. We need to get breakfast and dressed. Who wants breakfast?" Shawn held up JT's arms saying "I do." Bo and Hope left JT with Shawn. JT clapped as they left the room. {4/29/02}

Shawn to JT: "You are the bravest and the best. I'm your brother. You should be learning from me, but you have taught me so much and you have changed my life forever." Everyone says you we will always be brothers no matter what." {4/29/02}

Continued: "I promise you that. But it is hard knowing that today is the last day that I get to hold you like this and the last day that you will think of me this way. Your going to forget, but I won't. One day we will sit down together and I will tell you all about our love. Because I want you to remember how much we loved you here." {4/29/02}

Jason was trying to get Jacob to look at him. He said "Hey, JT." Then Jacob repeated "JT" and Jason copied him and they ended the scene with a smile and a kiss. {4/29/02}

Shawn and JT went downstairs to wait for breakfast and were playing on the floor in the living room. JT was laughing as Shawn was tickling him. Jacob {here}, Joshua and Jason all share a special bond with one another. {4/29/02}

The door bell rang and everyone got scared that it was the Reibers. It was Roman and Jenn coming to lend support to Bo, Hope and Shawn in their time of need. Roman came over to say hi to JT. Shawn said, "You can say HI...say 'hi, uncle Roman'. {4/29/02}

Everyone went into the kitchen to eat pancakes, JT's favorite breakfast. JT put his hands over his mouth as Shawn tried to feed him pancakes. He didn't want anymore. Hope then leaned over and cleaned some of the sticky syrup off. He was a sticky boy. {4/29/02}

JT said "brother" for the first time. Shawn was so excited, that JT called him brother. He was trying to teach it too him for so long that he thought he would never hear him say it. {4/29/02}

Everyone got so excited that it scared Jacob a little. He didn't understand why everyone was making a big deal about it. He had said it many times before, only this time the script actually called for it. {4/29/02}

JT went and took a bath after all the sticky pancakes. He played with his favorite bath toy, "Mister Ducky." Jacob didn't seem to mind sitting in the tub, he enjoyed hitting the water and playing with they little duck. {4/29/02}

Bo and Hope talked with Jenn about who else in the family they wanted to call. Hope wanted John called. Bo wasn't sure about it, but didn't say anything. He just kissed JT while Jenn and Hope talked. {4/29/02}

Bo picked out JT's favorite outfit. It was one that Marlena and John gave him. JT liked playing on the changing table again. He was trying to get down. {4/29/02}

Hope to JT: You are the smartest, the sweetest and most handsome boy. Jacob was pointing at something and looking straight at the camera. Personally it looked like he wanted Peter to hold him. He was content once Peter was touching him. {4/29/02}

Roman told the family that the Reibers would be there to get JT at 2pm. JT even seemed a little worried. He took a deep breath right a long with everyone else. {4/29/02}

Hope took JT from Shawn so she could hold him close. They only had hours left with him. {4/29/02}
