Shawn and Caroline babysat Andrew while Kim and Shane were on their honeymoon. Andrew helped Caroline answer the door. |
Victor came to see his "son," knowing that Kim and Shane were out of town. Caroline told him, "No, not this time." Andrew looked a bit afraid of Victor too. |
Caroline has always had a soft spot for Victor, so she handed Andrew over for him to hold. |
As luck would have it, Kim and Shane arrived home at exactly that moment to find Andrew in Victor's arms. They were furious of course. Andrew didn't know what was up. He was busy making cute faces at the camera. |
Andrew had become very resilient. He'd been passed around from house to house many times in his young life. |
Andrew woke up from his nap and was brought downstairs by Grandpa Shawn, who said Andrew told him he was ready to get dressed. |
Andrew was checking everything out at the Fish Market. He wondered why Shane was watching over his shoulder. So many people were there waiting for his big day to get started. It was Andrew's first birthday and also the day of his baptism. |
Andrew returned dressed and ready. Caroline said, "Look at you." All he wanted to do was look at his toy. |
That toy was really exciting. Robert's eyes lit up as he looked at it. |
Shane took Andrew from Kim and said he was going to get him to the church. Immediately, Roman grabbed Caroline's arm and started singing, "Get him to the church, get him to the church on time." It was an obvious take off on the song from My Fair Lady. |
The happy family prepares for the baptism. Andrew seemed very ready too. |
| This picture joins a number of others on the list of Beth's favorites of Bobby. It highlights his big brown eyes. It seems big brown eyes were something the producers looked for when casting Andrew. Future Andrews like Sky Rumph and Justin Page had big brown eyes as well. |
After talking with Caroline and Shawn, Fr. O'Connor turned and said, "This must be Andrew." |
Robert was busy looking offstage, not at the priest, but he answered him, saying, "Yeah. Yeah." |
Miss Peach and Neil Curtis are Andrew's godparents. Peachy held him, but she couldn't make him comfortable. She wanted him to recline, while he wanted to sit up. |
| As the ceremony started, Robert gave a big smile for the camera, as they faded to commercial. This was one of the smallest baptisms Days ever showed on camera. The only guests were Shawn, Caroline, Roman and Kayla. It took place in the narthex of St. Luke's. |
Andrew finally seemed comfortable in Peachy's arms. He put his hand up to her lips and she kissed it. |
After the water was put on his head, Andrew sat up again. He didn't like being held like a newborn. He never fussed about it, but made sure he was held like he wanted to be. |
| Andrew was blessed one more time and had water put on his head again. This time he wasn't as happy about it. They cut away to another scene just as we heard him start to fuss. |
After the ceremony, Kayla said to Andrew, "Congrats to you too pumpkin." Shawn and Andrew were ready to get home and have some birthday cakes. |
Fr. O'Connor told Andrew to take care and try to keep his parents out of trouble. Miss Peach chimed in that if he could do that, he'd be the first. |
