Neil {Joe}, Noelle, and Savannah {Shannon Tweed} enjoy the Fourth of July celebration in Salem in 1986. When they got to the dunking booth, where Jenn and Glenn were working, Neil had to explain the concept to Noelle. She found it very humorous that throwing a ball at a target would make Glenn fall into a pool of water.

This may have been the only scene with both of the Barrows siblings. Noelle saw Charlie {Mercer} crying and tried to comfort him by giving him her balloon.

Samantha held out her balloon for Mercer, but when that didn't work, she started to hold out her arms to him. It was adorable seeing Mercer's big sister take care of him like this.

In her last two years in Salem, Noelle spent all of her time with her father because her mother, Liz, had moved to Los Angeles.

As the festivities were winding down, Neil and Noelle watched the fireworks. Samantha was even yawning, as if it was her bedtime.

Noelle and Neil were planning a trip to the park, so they asked Anjelica if she wanted to go with them. Anjelica wasn't too thrilled with the thought.

Neil tried to convince Anjelica, saying "You haven't lived until you've tried the monkey bars."

Can you resist that adorable smile? Mean ole' Anjelica was the one who made Noelle laugh. Seems that even she has a heart.

Anjelica {Jane Elliot} agreed to go to the park (in her fur of course). Noelle decided she wanted to swing. As she ran, Neil said, "Don't swing too high."

After sliding and swinging, Noelle came over and asked Anjelica if she would go on the seesaw with her. It's unbelievable that Anjelica would turn this adorable child down, but she did.

As Neil and Noelle left, Neil reminded Anjelica about what he said earlier about the monkey bars. She was content to just enjoy the fresh air.

Noelle and Neil prepared for the wedding of Martha (Calliope's dog) and Reggie in early 1987. Neil showed her their dog bowls and asked Noelle if she wanted a bowl like that. Noelle shook her head "No." {4/16/87}

Calliope asked Noelle if she remembered her part. She nodded her head, "Yes." Noelle was to be the flower girl. {4/16/87}

Calliope started babbling about Euge not being at the wedding to walk his little girl down the aisle. Jo {Joy Garrett} asked Noelle, "Who's Euge?" Noelle shrugged her shoulders. Although she knew Euge as a toddler, she didn't remember him. {4/16/87}

The guests laughed a bit as Noelle walked down the aisle dropping flowers, not because of anything she did, but just do to the absurdity of it all. {4/16/87}

Noelle, Neil and Calliope {Arleen Sorkin} listened as Robert {Robert Clary} began the ceremony. {4/16/87}

Noelle was the flower girl at Adrienne and Justin's wedding in Greece. The bridesmaids {Diana, Kim and Melissa} helped her get ready for the event by brushing her hair.

Noelle was a professional flower girl at her young age. This was her third time down the aisle with flowers. She was a flower girl at her parents' wedding and Martha and Reggie's wedding previous to this event.

The wedding was shot on location at a cathedral in Los Angeles. In between takes, Samantha rested outside the trailer with her mom, Debbie. Her mom (and Mercer's) is Debbie Ware Barrows, a production associate at Days. Their father is Mercer Barrows II, who is a producer on Port Charles.

Samantha's about five here, and still enjoys some time with a clown at the annual Days picnic.

The Days picnics always have lots of activities to keep the kids entertained.

Samantha posed with Arleen Sorkin at the 1988 Days picnic. With them is Arleen's dog Rosie, a Cavalier that she brought home from England.

In 1989, Noelle sent this picture to her Papa, Neil, with this letter:
Dear Papa,
I hope you like my present. It's a picture frame. A picture frame I made myself out of seashells. I asked Mama to put a picture of me inside because I know you miss me. You are the best Papa in the whole world and I love you. Merry Christmas.
Love,
Noelle

This was the last picture of Noelle we saw onscreen. However, it wasn't the last time we saw Samantha on Days. In the 90s, she appeared as a candy striper during the Christmas episodes. While in high school, Samantha started singing and in 1999 she starred in her school's production of Anything Goes as Reno Sweeney. Ironically, her onscreen mom, Gloria Loring, played that same role in a national tour that same year.

In 2001, Samantha appeared in a small role during the Last Blast Dance, which spanned several episodes. She played Heather, a student at Salem High. Like many of the students, she taunted the students that weren't well-liked. Here, Kevin {Robert Benv...} said the sound system wasn't working right. {7/9/01}

Susan {Jennifer Gee} looked on as Heather replied, "What do you expect...when it was set up by a nerd like you." Samantha's body language screamed "attitude." {7/9/01}

Mr. Woods, one of the teachers, overheard her comment. He told her that her comments needed to stop, or she'd end up in the parking lot. {7/9/01}

Heather {far right} and a friend were right behind Chloe and Philip as they began dancing to I Need You by LeAnn Rimes. (Due to the lighting at the Last Blast Dance, getting clear pictures isn't possible). {7/9/01}

As the friends walked beside Chloe and Philip, Heather {in blue} said, "They'll be king and queen again this year." {7/9/01}

She continued..."They're perfect for each other." {7/9/01}

Everyone did believe they'd be king and queen, until the slide show... {7/9/01}

Where are they now?
Gloria Loring recently shared info about Samantha with her fans...
In 2000, Gloria Loring
was having dinner in LA and as she left she saw Samantha's ('Noelle's') mom and dad. "I'd lost track of them when they had moved, so was happy to see them and get their new address. I asked how Sammi was doing and her mother said, "You'll never believe it, Sammi's started singing and she'll be starring in her school's production of "Anything Goes" as Reno Sweeney." (Coincidence! Gloria had just signed her contract to do the national tour of "Anything Goes" as Reno Sweeney later that year.) Gloria went to Sammi's school and saw their production of the show. In her words, "She was very cute and the cast did a good job (they were quite funny!) I think it's amazing that she played the character I was going to play."

Noelle suffered from Juvenile Diabetes, just as Gloria Loring's young son did. To learn more about this disease and the foundation working for a cure, visit http://www.juvenilediabetesfoundation.com/
