Scott Groff

Bo carried Shawn-Douglas on his back into Stephanie's 1st birthday party at the Donovan Mansion. Peter Reckell loved giving Scott piggy back rides and Scott enjoyed them too.

Shortly after Hope died on DAYS, Shawn-Douglas fell in a hole on a construction site. He recovered, but was deaf. In order to play a deaf child, Scott (and on-screen father Peter Reckell) had to learn the basics of sign language. Peter loved working with Scott.

Scott was a full-fledged cast member with a contract at a very young age. He began appearing at award shows and other events with his castmates.

Shawn-Douglas was walking up to the deck on the Fancy Face. Bo signed "What was the loud noise?" Shawn-Douglas replied "I fell, Papa." Bo signed to him to be careful.

Bo showed Shawn-Douglas the bell that Carly gave him to hang on the Fancy Face. Then Carly walked up.

Shawn-Douglas asked his Papa if it was alright to hang the bell with Carly. Bo signed "That would be great, if Carly wanted to." Carly agreed.

In this scene, Shawn Douglas responds to his father's voice for the first time. Bo tells Carly, Shawn and Caroline that Shawn Douglas must have been scared when he was at Victor's. Shawn D turns around and says, "I wasn't scared Papa." Bo couldn't believe what he was seeing and hearing.

Here's Scott before his hair turned dark brown. Shawn Douglas was testifying in a hearing about something he heard at Victor's house after regaining his hearing.

Scott's first on-screen "mom" was played by Crystal Chappell {Carly}. Scott worked with Crystal from the time she came on the show until she left.

Shawn Douglas was working on model airplanes with Shawn when Roman came over. It was the first time Shawn D met the real Roman. He'd always known John as his uncle Roman.

Shawn Douglas and his cousin Jeannie {Emily and Alicia Pillatzke} celebrate Bo's birthday with their other cousins.

Shawn pulled out an old trick: his spill cup. He had apparently used it with Roman, Kim, Kayla and Bo as well. As he "drank" his milk, it ran down the front of him and all the kids laughed.

Scott hung out with Christina Wagoner at the 1991 Days anniversary party. It seems Bradley Hallock {Eric} wasn't there. So, just Scott and Christina ended up in the cast photo.

For Christmas, 1991, Shawn Douglas and his cousins put on a play of the Christmas story. He was a wise man, with a bed sheet as his costume.

This picture was taken just before Peter Reckell left the role of Bo Brady. Scott asked Peter why he was leaving and Peter told him that someday he, too, would move onto something else, but at this time it was his turn to leave.

Shawn Douglas was very upset when Bo was kidnapped by Rafi Torres. He just thought his dad had left because of a case. He asked Carly why Bo hadn't called them. He decided he'd go looking for his papa on his own.

Shawn Douglas went up to Green Mountain in the middle of winter with no coat, thinking that Bo might be there. He knew it was his papa's favorite place. He walked around calling, "Papa, Papa!"

Carly figured out where Shawn Douglas was and brought him his coat. She was so glad that he had been found. She loved him like he was her own son.

Carly arrived home while Shawn Douglas was busy working on a surprise for her, so he had to hide it.

Shawn Douglas told her he was making a Mother's Day present for her. Carly was surprised and extremely happy that he'd want to do that for her.

Shawn Douglas went to hide the present, but told Carly to close her eyes and not to peek.

Shawn Douglas said he'd always have his real mom, but asked Carly, "You're kind of my mom too, aren't you?"

Shawn Douglas and his cousins celebrated Uncle Roman's coming home with a party. The kids later held Roman down while Caroline threw a pie in his face.
