The pictures above and below are from the Selstad's Carnation Follow-up formula commercial. They were about 8 months old. They seemed to enjoy this time together. They were very happy onscreen.

Vivian thought she was going to be the one to help Victor raise Philip after Kate's death. It turned out that Victor asked Caroline to help him out, instead of good ole' Vivian.

Vivian came over to suck up to Victor. She wasn't on his best list. So she came over before he got home and started playing with Philip and his bear.

Philip liked the bear. He was poking it and then smiling when Vivian would move it in close for a kiss.

Vivian picked Philip up and sat him on her lap while she answered the phone, asking Philip, "Who is it, who's calling me here?" It was Ivan of course. He was calling to let Vivian know about the plan to bust the pipes at Caroline's house.

Philip tried to get the phone at one point and then gave up and looked over at the cameras and other things off stage.

Philip looked back over at Vivian and gave her a cheesie smile. He was trying to get her to notice him. It worked, and Vivian looked at him and smiled.

Victor came and Vivian started playing with Philip again and then got up to greet Victor. Victor questioned her about why she was there.

Vivian told Victor she was there to see Philip. After hearing how sick Sami's baby was, she needed to come and see Philip. "I know you and Kate are the biologicial parents, but I still care about Philip."

Victor said, "You can stay as long as you like. I understand."

As Victor left, Vivian said, "Perfect". Philip was getting restless.

Vivian sat down and started playing with Philip. Victor was busy trying to get some work done. He really couldn't since Vivian kept talking to Philip, trying to get Victor to look over at them.

Vivian tried to get Philip to look at her. He was busy looking at something else.

Philip looked over at Victor when he spoke and then leaned back to look at the lights when Vivian started talking again.

Vivian talked about having a woman around as a mother figure to Philip, since Kate was now gone. Victor said, "That is why I have asked Caroline to help out, she is the perfect woman." Vivian was very jealous of Caroline.

Victor and Vivian were talking about Caroline and then Victor mentioned that Shawn had the chicken pox so Caroline was going to have to take care of the broken pipes all on her own. Vivian was in shock when she heard chicken pox. Once again Philip looked back over at Victor when he spoke. Jonathan/Thomas must have liked to hear John talk, because each time he spoke, he would pay attention. Louise was losing her grip on Jonathan/Thomas because he kept moving. She almost looked like she was holding him by his neck only at one point.

Victor and Philip watched as Vivian ran out to go check on Ivan. Victor had no idea what she was up too.

Jonathan and Thomas were in need of a haircut here. But they were still very cute, they have always had lots of hair. They must have gotten one for their first birthday because by Christmas they had a hair cut. These scenes were taped about a month before their first birthday.
