Shane took over the role of Phillip Kiriakis in late December 1998 and appeared in one episode. Shane replaced Jonathan and Thomas Selstad. Shane is almost 6 years old and was seen on Kids Say the Darndest Things in late November/early December 1998. This was Shane's first acting role. He lives in Carlsbad, CA.

 | This was the only time we saw Shane as Phillip. Roz brought him in because he wanted to see his mommy before leaving for the park. He looked offstage as he walked into the room. Roz helped turn him to look at Kate. |  |
 | Once Shane looked at Lauren, he got into the scene. He held his arms out to give his mom a hug. Kate called him "my sweetie." |  |
 | Phillip planted a huge kiss on mom's lips. Looks like Shane is already comfortable with Lauren onscreen. This scene seemed very random. Phillip and Roz came in for only a couple of seconds for a goodbye. They were headed to the park at night as the lunar eclipse was about to begin. Although it seemed the scene was just supposed to introduce us to the new Phillip, it introduced us to an actor we'd never see again in the role. |
