Shawn and Taylor Carpenter started on

William Robert

Austin was the first one to
hold Will {Shawn}. Will was born by emergency c-section.
Sami wasn't able to hold him right away because of the
c-section.

Sami did get to see her son.
She gave him a kiss. Austin was overjoyed with his new son.
Too bad Sami lied and Will {Shawn} didn't even belong to
Austin.

Once Sami was back in her room
and was feeling better, she held her son. Shawn cried the
whole time.

Marlena, Carrie, Caroline,
Jamie and Shawn were Will's first visitors. Marlena said
Will {Shawn} looked like Eric when he was born.
The nurse came in and asked
what name they wanted on the birth certificate. Austin said
he wanted him to have his last name "Reed." Pictured: Shawn
as Will. Alison was able to get him to stop crying. Shawn
cried all the time the first few times we saw him, unless he
was asleep. Shawn was used here because he was smaller than
Taylor.
Sami named him William after
Austin's sister Billie. It wasn't until Will {Shawn} was
about 6 months old that we found out his middle name,
"Robert."
Introducing William Robert
Reed-Roberts {Shawn}, the son of Samantha Brady and Lucas
Roberts. At the time of his birth he was thought to be the
son of Austin Reed.
Will spent the first days of
his life in the hospital. Will was very close to death at
one time. Austin and Sami prayed along with the family that
Will would recover and he did. Shawn gave his first "Will
smile."
Victor visited Will at the
hospital. Will was lying in his hospital crib. Will had just
been given a clean bill of health.
