Taylor and Shawn Carpenter

Austin asked Will {Taylor} if he wanted to go and see his Mama, while she was in a coma. Will nodded his head "yes." This was after Austin accidentally hit her with his car.

Austin felt really bad about hitting Sami. He told Will {Taylor} "I'm sorry Will, I didn't mean to hurt your mommy."

Austin to Will {Taylor}, "Your Mama will be ok. She has to be, you still need her so much."

Austin took Will {Shawn} into see Sami. Will was busy eating his sucker. Austin and Ali had to think of a way to keep Shawn and Taylor content during this storyline. Shawn and Taylor were scared to death of all the bandages and tubes and stuff. They cried every time they went in the room to see Ali. Someone came up with "give 'em a sucker." It worked, during this episode at least.

Austin held Sami's hand to Will's hand. Sami smiled when he did this. Carrie and Austin both took this as a sign that Sami would be OK.

Austin thanked Will. He knew if anyone could get Sami to wake up, it was her son. Shawn was still sucking away at the sucker.

Will {Taylor} with his grandmother, Marlena. Marlena doesn't like to be called grandma, because she thinks she is too young for that.

Austin took Will home after the visit at the hospital. He wanted to spend some time with his son. He asked Will if he wanted to watch a movie. Austin assumed he did, so he grabbed one of his videos and put it in the VCR.

Both Will and Austin stared at the TV as the video played. It wasn't one of Will's movies. It was Austin and Sami's wedding that took place in Paris. Shawn as Will.

Austin felt guilty for hitting Sami with his car. Carrie begged Austin not to blame himself since Sami was always lying and no one knew she was telling the truth about the brakes. Shawn was busy chewing on his overalls.

Austin got an idea. He took the video to the hospital and played it for Sami while she was still in a coma.

Sami was knocking on death's door. Dr. Mike told Austin and Carrie to tell Sami goodbye, so Austin took Will {Shawn} in to see his mom one last time. He also set up the tape and played the wedding tape for Sami. Sami woke up a short time later.

When Sami woke-up, she had no memory of the past five years. Austin took Will {Taylor} to see her, hoping that would help her memory come back. Will started saying "Mama." When Sami didn't know who he was, he started crying.

Great-Grandma Caroline {Peggy McCay} took Will {Taylor} to the hospital cafeteria, so he wouldn't cry. This was one of the only times we know of that the Carpenter boys were fussy on screen.

After Will {Taylor} left the room, Sami remembered who he was, and most of the last year and a half of her life. Taylor was still fussy here, as you can see in the pics above with Drake Hogestyn {John}.

Austin took Will {Shawn} to see Sami because he couldn't get him to calm down. After he saw Sami he was fine. Sami felt guilty for not knowing her own son the day before. Austin told Sami she was a good mother.{2/10/97}

Austin was getting ready to leave and he reminded Sami that she was a good mother and that Will {Taylor} had a great family. {2/10/97}

Another visit from Will {Taylor}. Will visited Sami many times when she was in the hospital. Sami couldn't wait to go home so she could be with Will and Austin.

Austin and Carrie were trying to get away one last time before Sami returned home. Since Sami believed that Austin was her husband it was going to be hard for Austin to spend time with Carrie.
