Against Sami's better judgement, Sami, Will and Austin headed to the rehabilitation center where Lucas was still in a coma as a result of the fire at the Kiriakis mansion. Will immediately asked what room his daddy was in. Austin told him they'd have to ask. Shawn did this scene. It had been a while since he'd been in the role of Will. {2/5/02}

Austin decided they would go and ask about Lucas, but in the meantime he told Will {Shawn} to go get the picture from his backpack that he had made for his dad. Will headed over to the couch with his backpack and got out his picture while Sami and Austin talked. She was still very reluctant about the whole thing. {2/5/02}

Austin, Sami and Will {Taylor} headed down another hall. Will asked, "Where is he...where's daddy?" Austin told him, "We'll see him soon buddy." A woman greeted them. She was Dr. Richards, the rehab center's child psychologist. She got down to talk to Will. {2/5/02}

Dr. Richards said, "Let me guess...Will?" Taylor nodded his head. She told him she knew he must be very anxious to see his daddy and that he'd see him very soon. {2/5/02}

Dr. Richards said first she wanted to talk to Will {Taylor}. She asked to talk to him alone. Sami was surprised. She didn't like any of this and didn't want to let will out of her sight. But, she agreed, and Will went with Dr. Richards. {2/5/02}

Dr. Richards returned with Will {Shawn}. She told Austin that Will was a "very smart young man." Austin said, "don't I know it...I am very proud of my nephew." Up to this point in the episode, Taylor and Shawn were switching off at each new scene. {2/5/02}

Austin told Dr. Richards that he knew how much Will {Shawn} "loves his daddy and how much much he wants to see him." Will just looked at Austin. {2/5/02}

Austin told Will {Shawn} he saw a soda machine behind them and asked if he wanted to go and get something. Will asked, "Can I please?" Everything we saw Will do in this episode reminded us that he wasn't a baby anymore. {2/5/02}

Austin gave Will {Shawn} some money to go over to the vending machine. Although Will was clearly a big kid, it doesn't seem he's old enough to use a vending machine independently, because he probably couldn't even reach it. However, he needed to be out of the scene so Austin and Dr. Richards could talk. Will returned with his soda, with the machine making no noise behind them. {2/5/02}

While Austin and Will were with Dr. Richards, Sami went into Lucas' room. She wanted to see exactly what they were up against. There was a picture of Will and Lucas on his dresser. It was a couple of years old and one we hadn't seen before. {2/5/02}

Austin and Dr. Richards decided it was time to go and see Lucas. Dr. Richards told Will {Shawn} he needed to go and wash his hands really well because it was important for his dad not to be exposed to any germs. Will looked up at Austin to see if it was OK to go with Dr. Richards. Of course he said yes and Will headed off again with the Dr. This was the first time Shawn or Taylor had done two scenes in a row in this episode. It seems Shawn got to do an extra scene because Taylor would do the next several scenes. {2/5/02}
