The next episode began with Will {Taylor} in the same place, still trying to wake Lucas up. However, this time Lucas started fluttering his eyes. Kate saw it as a positive sign and went to get a nurse. Will turned to Sami and said, "Mommy, he's waking up." {2/6/02} |

Since taping the previous episode, Taylor had gotten a scratch on his face. He had a little red mark on his left cheek which made his scenes easy to spot in this episode. {2/6/02} |

Sami went over to Will and said, "Honey, we don't know for sure that daddy is waking up." At that moment Kate came in with the nurse and Sami pulled Will over to the side of the bed. Taylor stood on his tiptoes and tilted to the side to get a good look. The nurse asked if they all noticed a change in him. Sami said, "I don't know." She was doing her best to make sure Lucas didn't wake up, while still giving her son what he needed. The nurse said without proof of recovery, they could just consider those involuntary muscle spasms. Sami was happy, while Kate was upset. {2/6/02} |

Austin knew Will was bummed because he had just heard what the nurse said. Austin said, "Hey buddy, I got a great idea...what do you say we take the drawing that you made for your daddy and you put it up on the wall, so when he wakes up, it's the first thing he sees." Taylor looked down at the drawing, then at Austin and then started nodding before whispering, "OK." {2/6/02} |

Will {Taylor} went to put his picture on the bulletin board. He called Sami over to help and then when it was up said, "look grandma." Kate came over to see it. Austin and Sami stepped aside to talk. Sami told him she had to get out of there. Austin reminded her that the flight wasn't until that night. In the meantime, Kate took Will over to the bed, picked up Lucas' hand and took Will's, putting the hands together. {2/6/02} |

Austin and Sami continued to talk. Austin was trying to tell her that Will enjoyed being with his dad and it wasn't going to hurt anything. Sami was very dramatic, saying that Will might feel guilty about not helping his dad wake up. She didn't want him to be "traumatized." Sami went over to Will and said, "Honey, Will, it's time to go sweetie." Will stood there staring at Lucas, not reacting to Sami at all. She said it twice and he just stared at Lucas. Taylor didn't have tons of lines in this episode, but he had a lot of important physical moves to portray. {2/6/02} |

Sami gave Austin an exasperated look and Austin decided he should try to talk to Will {Taylor}. He bent down and said, "How ya doin' there big guy?" Will didn't respond. Austin asked, "Remember when we talked about this?" Will nodded and Austin continued, "...about you coming to see your daddy...about how badly you want him to wake up but how he's sleeping and he might not wake up today...and the fact that he might not wake up for a very long time." {2/6/02} |

Kate jumped in, "Hey Will, sweetie, having you here...your daddy hearing your voice could help him more than you'll ever know." Will finally spoke, saying, "I've got something too." He turned around and headed toward the door. {2/6/02} |

Sami asked, "Where are you going Will?" He replied, "To get something for daddy." Sami said she would go with him. {2/6/02} |
