In June 1987, Ali appeared in
a flashback as young Adrienne. It aired three times. Justin
gave her a book of Emily Dickinson poems and Adrienne
recalled the way that Duke forbade her to read books.

In 1987, Ali was in the TV
movie, You Ruined my Life as School Kid #2. She only
had one line as she passed by the camera. Her costars were
Paul Reiser and Soleil Moon Frye.

Dyan Cannon film, The End of Innocence as young
Stephanie.

Ali was only 16 when she
started on Days.

Without warning, Sami returned
to Salem and began observing everything in town. She first
showed up at the Brady's Pub. She was lurking, hiding under
a hat and a big coat. There she made a phone call, but
didn't speak to anyone on the other end.

Sami then headed to the Brady
house. It seemed she was up to no good. She lifted up the
doormat and didn't find a key. She took off her hat, letting
down her long blonde hair. She pulled out a bobbie pin and
used it to pick the lock on the door. She must have learned
this technique from her cop father.

Marlena and Roman were away at
the ski lodge when Sami returned to Salem. We finally saw
her face once she was looking around the house. It was not
clear whether or not she really belonged there.

Sami eventually headed
upstairs and went into her bedroom. Marlena and Roman
returned, not knowing she was there. Later, a crash is heard
from outside. Cops scatter and Roman goes out, gun drawn, to
find the perpetrator. "Daddy, don't!" "Sami??" (She tried to
escape out her bedroom window and apparently fell). He
doesn't shoot, just stands there still aiming and the sticks
spin. {1/21/93}

Ali was under 18 when she
started on DAYS and was still in school full time. When she
was on the set she had a special amount of time that was set
aside for her school work. Ali earned her high school
diploma one year ahead of schedule.

|
Ali had watched Days when she
was a little girl and was incredibly excited to be on the
show.

Did you know that Ali owns a
horse? She has had a passion for horses since she was a
little girl. She can ride with the best of them.

Ali's first major storyline
was the bulimia story. Sami ate non-stop as she tried to
deal with the stress of her love for Austin and the
devastating secret that her mother was pregnant with John's
baby. {Photo

Sami and Jamie go shopping to
buy Sami some new clothes. After losing 6 pounds, Sami buys
a suit in order to impress Austin. She took her mom's advice
about boys and she decided to tell Austin about her feelings
for him. It comes out that Marlena's advice doesn't work for
Sami and Austin turns her down. He claims that she's too
young and that he likes her as a friend. After that Jamie
arrived at the hospital and she finds Sami crying. Jamie
asks what happened and Sami tells her that she told Austin
how she felt about him. Austin told her to "fly a kite."

In her mind, Sami's family
drove her to her bulimia. She was intensely jealous of
Carrie's relationship with Austin, who thought she was too
young. Her mother had slept with John and Sami couldn't deal
with the fact that she saw the event.

The one person who always
stuck by Sami was her Daddy. She had him wrapped around her
little finger. According to him, she could do no wrong.

Ali's second major storyline
as Sami was when she kidnapped her own baby sister. Sami had
figured out that Belle was the daughter of John, not her
father, Roman. She changed all the blood tests and made
everyone believe Belle belonged to Roman. When Belle became
ill and needed to have blood drawn, Sami feared that her mom
and dad would figure out that Belle was John's daughter. So
before that could happen, Sami kidnapped her. John and
Kristen later found her just before Sami tried to sell her
on the black market.
|

|
|

|
Sami's worst nightmare was
Alan Harris. Sami wasn't aware that Alan was in love with
Carrie. She became friends with Alan and when Carrie
rejected him, he raped Sami. Sami got her revenge when she
blew away his manhood.

Ali and Christie posed on the
set of Johnny Angels for the Days calendar in 1995.
|

|
|

|
Ali with costar Melissa
Reeves. While Jennifer was the teen everyone watched in the
80s, Sami was the teen of the early 90s.
|
|
Sami's true love is Austin
Reed. She stole his love from her own sister, although
Austin never really loved Sami the way she wanted.
|

|
|

|
Sami never loved Lucas
Roberts, but that one night stand was her worst and best
mistake. She lost Austin because of it, but she gained a son
too.
|
|
Sami was pregnant at age 17,
giving birth to Will just after her 18th birthday.
|

|
|

|
Sami has been involved in some
messy triangles. She hates her sister Carrie, so it doesn't
matter that the man she loves, Austin, actually loves Carrie
and not her. She just wants Austin all to herself.
|
|

|
Carrie and Sami fought over
men more than once over the years.

When the band Ricochet
appeared on DAYS, Carrie Genzel (Ali), Alison Sweeney
(Sami), Christie Clark (Carrie) and Roark Critchlow (Mike)
hung out with them backstage.
