Ashleigh Blair Sterling was born April
27, 1983. She took over the role of Samantha from Tiffany Palma in
1986. Ashleigh left Days in 1990 when she became too busy with her
other television roles. She was appearing on L.A. Law and the
new series, The Family Man. She'd also had a guest appearance
on The Facts of Life.

Ashleigh appeared on Mr.
Belvedere in 1987. She had no lines, but was featured in a
montage about Kevin (Rob Stone) while he was working in a
hospital. First, she asked him to get her doll.

Ashleigh played Bailey on the
December 5, 1987 episode of The Facts of Life called
"Adventures in Baileysitting." This was our first view of
Bailey, Blair {Lisa Welchel} and their mom {Marj Dusay}. It
was immediately clear that Bailey shared many of her
sister's snobby traits. Here, Blair and Bailey are brushing
their hair 100 times.

Bailey asked Blair if she had
a TV. Blair turned and looked at Jo and asked if she had
heard that. Sarcastically, Jo said, "She's gifted." It may
have seemed cute to Blair now, but just wait...

Bailey and Monica shared a
kiss from afar as Monica got ready to leave. Blair then
"kissed" her mom the same way.

Bailey told Blair she was
hungry.

Blair said, "I know a yummy
Sushi bar. Do you like Sushi?" Bailey smiled and said,
"YUCKY!"

As the adults talked, Ashleigh
kissed her knee, then lifted herself up. It wasn't clear
what she was doing...

But then we saw her playing
with a little doll. It had been underneath her on the couch
and she had lifted herself up to pull it out from under her.
She held it as Blair hugged her.

Blair came downstairs with
Bailey. She was incredibly tired and Bailey was still ready
for action. Blair said, "Let's have Aunt Nat tell us how
we're doing today." Natalie didn't have anything positive to
say.

Tootie {Kim Fields} came to
Blair's rescue. She asked Bailey if she wanted a clown face
to go with her costume. Bailey liked that idea. Her face
looked great. She'd even put a bit of makeup on Tootie's
face.

Blair told Bailey it was nap
time. Bailey shook her head and said, "No nap." Blair
corrected herself and said it was "lap time." She took
Bailey over to the couch.

Blair opened up her
appointment book and said, "These are numbers...this is a
one...can you say one?" Bailey of course said "One" and
Blair said, "Isn't she smart?"

As Blair was leaving, she told
Bailey, "Ta." Bailey replied with "Ta," the made a popping
sound with her lips.

Jo {Nancy McKeon} tried to
pick up where Blair and Bailey had left off in the book. Jo
asked, "Can you say four?" Bailey just stared at
her.

Natalie {Mindy Cohn} was left
to entertain Bailey. She said, "So...Bailey." Bailey crossed
her legs, then sat very quietly, totally ignoring
Natalie.
