Jason took over the role of
Shawn-Douglas in October 1999 when Shawn D returned to Salem from
boarding school. He took over the role from Collin O'Donnell who
played the role for 4 years. Shawn-D was aged by about two
years.

Jason knew at a young age that
he wanted to sing. He was putting on shows for his family
when he was just two years old.
One of Jason's earliest roles
was in The Wizard Of Loneliness in 1988. It starred
Lea Thompson and Lukas Haas. Jason played Monroe.
Before joining Days, Jason
hosted Project Time on Zoog Disney. Here are two of
his projects: Mosaics (L) and Fossils (R). Click on the

Just a little info about this
newcomer to DAYS... Jason resides with his family in the Los
Angeles area. His father, Bill, is an engineer who
constructs rides for amusement parks and his mother, JoAnn,
is a preschool teacher and "devoted Mom." Jason has three
siblings; older brother Michael owns a 'rent to own' store,
younger sister Janean is a sophomore in high school, and
older sister Michelle, a huge Days fan, is a human resource
manager for American Express. The Cooks have two dogs, Cobi
and Zoe, and a lizard named Diablo.

Looks like Shawn-D went
shopping in his dad's closet, wearing a leather jacket just
like the one that Bo use to wear.
Shawn-D ran into Great Gran at
the hospital. She wasn't as happy to see him and he was to
see her.
Great Gran was quick to tell
Shawn-D how bad he looked. She called him a homeless person.
This was not what Shawn-D was expecting from his Great Gran.
We were surprised Gran didn't
hug Shawn-D and talk about how much he had grown up and
looked like his father. The facial hair, leather jacket,
earring and tattoo..it is a young Bo in the making.
Shawn-D took off his leather
and Gran spotted the tattoo. She wondered if he asked for
permission to get that tattoo. He said "No" and asked if Bo
had permission when he got his.
Gran was quick to remind
Shawn-D that he had a family that loves him. Shawn-D was
quick to remind Gran that his parents run off all the time
without him and they don't even live in the same home. They
have yet to spend one night together as a family on the
Fancy Face II, which Shawn-D and his dad worked their butts
off to rebuild.
Shawn-D ran into a lot of
family members at the hospital. Here he was talking with his
Uncle Roman and Aunt Marlena. Roman oftered to go look for
Belle who noone had seen in awhile, Shawn-D ofter to go with
him.
Shawn-D ended up helping his
Uncle Roman break up a fight between Austin and Lucas.
Billie was talking with Eric
and Carrie when she noticed Shawn-D standing over to the
side. She asked if he was on a break from boarding school.
He said "Yeah, something like that." Shawn-D didn't seem to
have too much of an attitude with Billie or his cousins,
Eric and Carrie.
Billie told Shawn-D to make
sure to come over and visit her sometime. He said as long as
she would make him a power smoothie. The power smoothie was
something Shawn-D and Billie did together one time when he
was younger and his dad was dating Billie.
