While Jason wasn't a basketball player in H.S., he certainly enjoys playing in charity events. Jason played in the Days basketball game at South Pasadena High School during the Days weekend in 2000.

Jason and Kirsten graced their second soap opera cover together. "Although just teens, Shawn {Jason} and Belle {Kirsten} have enough chemistry to become one of DAYS best supercouples!" Even though they have the chemistry don't look for TPTB to put these two together. According to Tom Langan {Head writer} "We have years of story to tell. To pair them as the next Bo and Hope prematurely would be a big mistake. So we will see lots of maturing for Belle and Shawn over the course of time." Photography by Kem Merfeld

Some quotes from Jason on Belle and Shawn, "Shawn is overwhelmed," with his dad missing and the plane crash. Shawn reached for Belle's hand in his time of need. "It was like he was hit by a truck, he is lying on the pavement and reaches out for someone." "Shawn sort of has this thing for Belle, but he doesn't even know it." "Their friendship is up and down because there are so many circumstances affecting him."

Jason and Kirsten shared different views about the plane crash. For Jason, the plane crash was "the most fun I've had so far! Peter {Reckell, Bo}, Drake {Hogestyn, John}, and I had so much fun doing the 'boy stuff.' It was cool!" {photography by Aaron Montgomery/JPI}

Jason played in the Days/Passions baseball game in early 2000.

Chloe and Shawn are not romantically linked, but they share a common love of music. On more than one occassion, Chloe has sung while Shawn plays the piano.

At an NBC event, Jason met up with Taylor Mountz, who plays Kay on Passions. They two cut it up on the dance floor.

On June 15, 2000 NBC celebrated the young stars of Days of our Lives with a party at Gotham Hall in Santa Monica, California. This annual press event showcased over forty stars from such NBC shows as Passions, The West Wing, and the Saturday morning T-NBC comedy block. The Days stars that attended included Farah Fath (Mimi), Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), Kirsten Storms (Belle), Heather Olson (Jan), Jason Cook (Shawn), Jay Johnson (Philip), Arianne Zuker (Nicole) and Julianne Morris (Greta). {picture and text courtesy http://www.daysofourlives.com}

Jason has changed Shawn into a much more clean cut kid than he was when he first returned to the show. Part of that is Jason's personality. He says about himself, "I'm more of a clean cut non-rebel."

After everyone found out that Mimi was homeless, Shawn put her brother Connor on his shoulder to carry him to the hospital.
