Jason appeared with Nadia
Bjorlin at Days Fest in Salem, Illinois on September 17,
2000. Nadia had a brunch for fans, but decided she needed a
date. Jason joined her since she had joined him at his dance
the night before.

Jason celebrated his one year
anniversary on Days during this appearance.

If you think Jason is cute
onscreen, you have to see him in person. He has a great
sense of humor and enjoys making fun of the crazy storylines
on Days. He referred to his character's aging numerous
times, recognizing how bizarre it all is...
Jason enjoyed playing with his
lip as he listened to Nadia. This wasn't the only time he
was seen doing this during this PA.
When Jason screentested for
Days, others screentesting for the role included Brandon
Tyler, who later became Phillip Kiriakis, Aaron Van Wagner,
now Jason, and Justin Torklindsen, who is now on B&B.
Other actors who screentested for the role have appeared in
various small roles on the show as well.

Jason still lives at home with
his parents, but he says he feels like he "lives" at the
studio and "visits" his house, since he puts in such long
hours.

The producers have asked Jason
to keep his hair fairly long and always have one day of
"stubble" on his face. They think it helps Shawn maintain
that rebel edge, even if he has scenes that are little less
rebellious. While the longer hair bothered him at first,
he's gotten used to it. He still seems to spend a lot of
time pushing it out of his face.

Nadia sang "Think of Me" from
The Phantom of the Opera. Jason was in awe as he
listened to her beautiful singing.
Jason played an original
composition on the piano. It was "adlibbed" in his words.
He's written part of it formally, but parts of it were
improvised. He has sort of a John Tesh sound on the
piano.

Look at that adorable
smirk/smile!
Jason and Nadia enjoyed taking
questions from the audience. Jason was quick to poke fun at
both his character and the show.
Jason talked about his high
school experience, saying he was never really part of the
"in" crowd. He preferred to avoid people whom he deemed to
be "fake."

That tossled hair looks like
something straight out of a magazine!

Jason models a piece of his
Shawn wardrobe, a shirt from the Gap. He said they wouldn't
be using the shirt on the show anymore because it had been
washed. This was a reference to his previous comment about
Shawn's clothes always being dirty. Jason also admitted that
he currently has two of Shawn's shirts in his own closet,
but told everyone not to tell anyone at Days...
Jason celebrated his birthday
just a few days before this appearance. When a fan asked
Nadia to sing, she decided to sing Happy Birthday to him. He
was very happy to have a gorgeous lady singing to
him.
Nadia offered to do her
Marilyn Monroe version of "Happy Birthday," but decided to
stick to a fairly normal version instead. She sang happy
birthday to "Shawn D or Jason."
Jason gave Nadia a thank you
kiss for her singing.
