In April 2000, Jay appeared
with most of the Days cast at a softball game against the
cast of Passions. He displayed his true sportsmanship when
he congratulated Jesse Metcalfe {Miguel} on Passions' win.

Jay hails from the same town
as another Missouri boy who went on to make it big - Brad
Pitt. "They definitely play that up back home." he says "I
try to play that down, though. I don't want people to think
that I would use that. But it is kind of odd: He's from the
same high school, lived just around the corner. We have a
connection through John Aniston (Victor) - He's my
(on-screen) father and the father of Jennifer Aniston,
Pitt's girlfriend. We went to the same church. We were both
out here for seven months before we landed our first roles.
I was like, 'Oh, my gosh, this is really weird.' I just hope
I have the same success that he did"

Did you know that Jay might
have been the next Lucky Spencer on GH if he hadn't gotten
the role on DAYS? Also, did you know that Jay can sing and
play the piano?
Jay has watched DAYS almost his whole life. It was easy for
him to learn who everyone was. He also hangs out with
Brandon Tyler (ex-Philip), Jason Cook, Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe)
and Aaron Van Wagner (Jason) when he's not working.

Jay enjoys hearing from his
fans, including his sister. She recently sent him a letter
requesting autographed photos for each of her friends. That
was just one in the many fan letters Jay receives each
