Philip extended his hand to
his nephew Shawn-D who he hadn't seen in awhile. Shawn-D
wasn't too happy to see his Uncle Philip. Shawn-D didn't
even say "Hi," all he said was "Just call me Shawn."
Philip asked Shawn who the
little blonde was that he was talking to. Shawn said "Belle
Black." Philip was surprised how much she had grown up.
Philip told Shawn that Belle
was looking real good. Shawn said "Yeah, but don't judge a
book by it's cover."
Philip and Shawn ended up
playing catch football in the hall. Philip asked Shawn what
his problem with Belle was. Shawn said "I don't have a
problem with Belle."
Shawn said "She just thinks
she is so hot." Philip said there was nothing wrong with
being sure of yourself. Shawn said yeah you would know.
Philip to Shawn: "If I want something I go after it. That's
all."
When they called Shawn into
the office. Philip told him "by the way nice earring!" Shawn
"Great, you like it so much, let's meet after school and get
you one."
Philip after Shawn was gone:
"This is going to be a interesting year."
Philip was standing by his
locker and overheard Belle and Mimi talking about Shawn.
Mimi was saying she thought Shawn was so cute. Belle was
telling Mimi not to fall for a guy like Shawn.
Many have referred to the teen
scenes as "Saved by the Belle," since the threesome seemed
stuck at Salem High and did't associate much with other
characters. Now days we hardly see them in school.
Jason stopped Belle in the
hall and asked her who her date was for the dance. Belle
told him not to worry about it. Then he asked her to go with
him. She flat out told him no.
Philip and Shawn were talking
about Belle and the dance. Philip told Shawn "Belle would
never go for you hell raiser Brady. Just as Philip said
that, Shawn looked over at Jason and Belle talking.
Philip and Shawn were watching
Belle turn Jason down from across the hallway. As Belle
turned to walk away Jason grabbed her. Shawn jumped to her
defence.
Mr. Reyes the gym teacher came
over and broke up the fight. Belle and Philip were both
quick to stand up for Shawn.
Shawn pulled his hand out from
behind his neck, saw blood and almost passed out. Belle and
Mr. Reyes rushed Shawn to the ER, since he needed stiches.
Bo was worried about Shawn
until he heard he was fighting. Shawn tried to tell his side
of the story. He told Bo he was defending a poor defenseless
girl.
Belle was quick to point out
to Shawn that she could handle herself and that she was no
"Poor defenseless girl." Bo laughed as Shawn and Belle
talked.
Belle and Mimi stopped and
talked with Shawn at the big fight of Austin Reed vs.
Brandon Walker. Mimi asked Shawn how he was feeling, since
earlier that day he got into a fight with Jason over Belle.
Belle said "Oh, he's just fine. A little slam of the head
into a locker isn't going to hurt 'Tough Guy'."
During the intermission Bo got
a call from Hope saying that she was on the Fancy Face II
and she was home. Bo found Shawn and told him "Let's go your
mom's home." Shawn was a real jerk saying "We waited this
long what's a few more minutes?" He wanted to see the rest
of the fight. When his dad grab his arm and said "lets go."
Shawn just tossed the drinks that he had in his hands to
Philip. Philip barely caught them. Grandpa Shawn who was
standing by said "Good catch."
Austin got hurt in the fight
and everyone left for the hospital. At the hospital Belle
ran into Philip and told him how sorry she was about Austin.
Philip then blew up on Belle because she made that comment
that Brandon must feel bad about it. Philip asked Belle "How
could you care about someone like that?" Belle walked out.
