Zarf, Bianca and Miranda went to pick out a Christmas tree. Miranda had so much fun. She laughed most of the time.

Miranda ran up and gave Babe a hug, which caught Bianca off guard. Babe hasn't spent much time with the little girl since she was her "mom" during her first several months of her life. It's a time Bianca would like to forget. {pic 12.06}

Mitchel Federan
Petey Cortlandt
July 30, 2002-present

The casting call for the role of Petey in the summer of 2002 was for a "9-10 year old Dennis the Menace-type." Mitchel fit the bill, having played similar characters in well-known musicals. Like many AMC child actors before him, Mitchel began his work in showbiz on the stage. He created the role of Little Jake opposite Marilu Henner in the national tour of Annie Get Your Gun. He won rave reviews in that role. In a Boston review, it was noted that while"all three [young actors playing Annie's siblings] handle "Moonshine Lullaby" and "Naturally" with polish, Federan is a little guy to be reckoned with. He's only got a few lines and a smattering of stage business, but he grabs hold of his moments like a pro." In July 2002, he appeared as Winthrop in The Music Man in Sacramento before heading to Broadway to take over the role in August 2002. Previously he appeared with the Rockettes in the Premiere Radio City Christmas Spectacular in Mexico City. This summer Mitchel did two readings in New York City, The Boy from Oz and Anna Karenina. He now plays "Young Peter" in The Boy from Oz, opposite Hugh Jackman. Mitchel is a 11 year old Solon, Ohio native who tap dances, tumbles and plays the piano. He lives with his his parents and brother, Tommy. {info from AGYG kids, CMT, and Digital City, photo from CMT }

Petey re-emerged in Pine Valley, after rarely being seen for several years. He's certainly a "Dennis the Menace type," as described in the original casting call. Palmer struck a deal with Kendall to be his nanny. In exchange, Palmer supplied a warehouse for Kendall and Greenlee's company, Fusion. Kendall knew just how to handle Petey's antics. Palmer was thrilled. Opal wasn't too sure about the arrangement.
