John played Steven from the time of his birth until he was about five years old. He was the longest running Steven and the only one to work with both Anne Heche and Jensen Buchanan in the role of Vicky. For the first few months, Steven was played by John and his twin brother, Terrence. But when Terrence was about 10 months old his hair started turning red. They wore caps/hats for a while but then decided to go with John alone in the role. |

While John was in the role of Steven, Vicky was not always stable. She fought Jamie for custody of their son and ran off with him more than once. Grant {Mark Pinter, right} was just beginning to find his way into their family as well, since Kirkland was just about to be born. In the early 1990s, John appeared in a Public Service Ad for the United States Fire Administration with his onscreen mother, Jensen Buchanan. They were urging families to ask for free fire information. |
