Daniel Smith
Zende Domingez
2001-May 15, 2002

Daniel E. Smith is the first actor in the role of Zende Domingez. Zende was adopted from Africa. HIV postivite Antonio and Kristen {pictured to the left} got an instant family when they adopted him a few weeks after meeting him on their honeymoon in Africa. {Photo courtesy of Anki's B&B Page}

Daniel was born February 22, 1990, in Tampa, Florida. Daniel is an up and coming star. On TV he appeared in Children TV Show and Quality Time and has performed on stage in "The Christmas Story," "Freedom," and "The Greatest X-Mas Pageant Ever." His most notable role to date is playing Michael Archibald in John Q, starring Denzel Washington. In early 2002, Daniel's status on B&B became recurring, as he pursued his film career. {Photo on left courtesy kidswithacause.org, photo on right courtesy Leslie}

Daniel's character in John Q, Michael, is the focus of the story. Michael falls ill during a baseball game and needs a heart transplant. His father, John (Denzel Washington) takes people hostage in the hospital after they deny a transplant due to the family's inability to pay. {photo on left courtesy outnow.ch, photo on right courtesy hollywoodjesus.com}

Hope Logan ("Baby Logan")
(July 2, 2002-August 2002)

Hope was delivered in a cabin by Stephanie. She was checked out by a doctor the next day. {photos courtesy huntingtaylor.com}

Hope was pretty bright-eyed when she was only a day old. {photos courtesy huntingtaylor.com}

Hope is never going to have a shortage of adults caring for her. Stephanie {on left, 7/4/02}, who helped deliver Hope, promised Brooke that she would help raise the baby. Deacon {on right, 7/10/02} believes he is the baby's father. {photos courtesy huntingtaylor.com}

For two months, this adorable baby was referred to as "baby Logan." {photos courtesy huntingtaylor.com, photo on right, 7/9/02}

Colby and Grayson Button
Hope Logan
August 2002-October 2002, October 2002-May 03

Colby and Grayson took over the role of Hope only a month after her birth. They were several months old, aging the character slightly. {photos courtesy huntingtaylor.com, photos on right, 8/8/02, photo on left, 9/10/02}

 Hope was seen fairly often in her early months. {photos courtesy Vera, August 30, 2002}

 In the second scene, there was a baby switch. This baby definitely had more hair than the previous baby. {photos courtesy Vera, August 30, 2002}

When Brooke gave birth to her baby girl, she didn't know who the baby's father was. She had an affair with her daughter's husband. Several people are claiming to be the baby's father. {photo courtesy 9/10/02 SOW}

Hope wasn't named until she was about two months old. Up until that point, she was just called "baby Logan." Her sister, Bridget (Jennifer Finnagan, in photo on right), named her. {photos courtesy huntingtaylor.com, 9/10/02}

 While Colby and Grayson held the role of Hope, they also appeared as Baby Ethan on Passions. Colby and Grayson were used on B&B much more often than they were on Passions. They appeared on Passions more in the toddler months, but still not as much as on B&B. {photos courtesy Vera, 9.18.02}

Soaps in Depth ran the photo on the left of Hope and said it was one of the Pelletiers. However, we are pretty certain it's Colby or Grayson Button. {photo on left courtesy Anki's B&B Page, photo on right courtesy Vera, 9.18.02}

Colby and Grayson were one of many sets of twins to appear on B&B playing a child of the opposite sex. {photos courtesy Vera, 10.3.02}

Paige and Madison Pelletier
Hope Logan
October 2002

Madison and Paige appeared at the end of the October 14, 20002 show. Colby and Grayson Button were in earlier scenes. In those, Brooke held the baby out in front of her, so she could look around. Later, we only saw the baby from behind, and she was wrapped up in a blanket. Brooke held her close and the camera was careful to never show her face. {pics courtesy Vera, 10.14.02}

It was clear in the next episode why the show had worked to hide the change in Hope's appearance in the previous episode. The Pelletier girls looked quite different, with darker coloring than the Buttons. {pics courtesy Vera, 10.16.02}

Madison and Paige took over the role of Hope for just three episodes and became the third set of twins in the role in 4 months. {pics courtesy Vera, 10.16.02}

Ava and Jack Dunlop
Hope Logan
March 25, May 30, Dec 2, 5, and 6, 2002

Since Colby and Grayson Button were also appearing on Passions while they held the role of Hope, there were times where they weren't available for taping. Two times, Ava and Jack Dunlop filled in for them.

Ava and Jack were yet another in a series of blonde babies in the role. They have held no other showbiz roles. {photos courtesy Vera}

Brooke had Hope with her often during the first year of her life, which is rare for a soap child. {photos courtesy Vera, 12.5.02 (left) and 12.6.02 (right)}

Brooke had a document that really interested Hope. She grabbed for it while Brooke was busy chatting. {pics courtesy Vera, June 12, 2003}

Rebecca and Vanessa played Hope for a total of four episodes. In that short time, Hope was seen with several different characters. {photos courtesy Daily Updates B&B}

In the summer of 2003, things were starting to happen in little Hope's life. She had her first birthday, and she started spending more time with her half-brother Little Eric, her father and his new love (later wife) Macy. Deacon also sued for custody of Eric and Hope when the Logans and Forresters refused him access to his children. He lost with Hope, but won for Eric. {Photos courtesy of Anki's B&B Page, info courtesy soapcentral.com}

Vanessa and Rebecca are a rare example of twins who began on soaps and continued acting in the following years. They are still actively seeking roles, in print, TV and film. {pics courtesy Jet Set Kids}

Following their work on B&B, Vanessa and Rebecca appeared in a Lands End catalog (right) and filmed a Dianetics Introduction (video). {pics courtesy Jet Set Kids}

Rebecca and Vanessa appeared as Jamie Hayes on Grey's Anatomy on May 8, 2005. The episode was called, "The Self-Destruct Button." {pics courtesy greysanatomy.net}

Cali and Noelle Sheldon

Cali and Noelle are already showbiz vets, although they just turned one (b. 6/17/02). They appeared in the season 9 finale of Friends {on right} as Ross and Rachel's baby, Emma. The girls appeared in numerous Friends episodes during the final season. As a result, they didn't have time to devote to B&B. So, the role was recast. {photo on right courtesy friendscafe.org}

Rachel's sister, Amy, played by Christina Applegate, came to visit again. In her first visit, she seemed unaware Rachel even had a child, but then later referred to the baby as a boy, calling her Emmett and then Emily. This time around, Emma's auntie babysat and took her out to get her ears pierced. Rachel wasn't too thrilled. {pics courtesy Sarah's Flinging Flanning Friends Site via Amy}

The day of Emma's first birthday party, she took a long nap, nearly sleeping through her party. While her parents were out getting her a new cake, Monica and Chandler stayed with her. Chandler taughter her how to hold up a finger to tell that she was "one." Ross and Rachel were thrilled to see their little girl was so smart. {pics courtesy http://saison10.free.fr/index.html via Amy}

Although Friends is now over, Cali and Noelle will most likely go on to other roles. They have smiles that a camera can't resist. {photos courtesy Carbon Copies}

Rachel and Amanda Pace
Hope Logan
(early 2004-present)

Rachel {left in both pictures} and Amanda {right in both pictures} took over the role of Hope in early 2004. They previously held the role of Abby Carlton on Y&R, leaving when the character was aged in November 2003. They were hired once in 2002 as backups for baby Kyle on Y&R, but were never filmed. The girls have a few modeling jobs on their resume as well. They also did print ads for KMart in early 2002 and Sprint. They appeared in commercials Mervyns in early 2002 and Dell Computer. {pics and info courtesy Baby Talent Network}

Rachel and Amanda are just beginning to have dialogue on B&B. Rachel {left} was very nervous about talking to Nick, but she was very cute too. She spoke very clear and asked "Uncle" Nick if they were going sailing (Nick lives on a boat). Brooke told her "not today but maybe another time." Nick told her, "I will take you anytime because you are my favorite deck girl, right?" Hope said, "and you're my Uncle Nick." {Amanda in photo on right} {June 2004 episodes}

Hope {Amanda} was a flower girl at Brooke and Ridge's wedding in July 2004.
