John Ross was very close with his father J.R. Ewing {Larry Hagman pictured to the left}. J.R. always made time for his son. It wasn't until later that J.R. found out that he had another son from an affair years earlier, James Richard Beaumont. James {Sasha Mitchell pictured to the right} and John Ross had a love/hate relationship. John Ross liked having an older brother but he didn't like sharing his father's love. It took him a while to warm up to James. He even left Southfork for a short time period, because he believed that was what J.R. and James wanted. He went to leave with him Mom in Europe. |

Omri grew up on Dallas. He was born May 30, 1976 and was just 7 years old when he came to Dallas. Through the years he came to love working on Dallas, even thought he was only on maybe 5 times during a season, mainly holidays and parties. During his last few seasons he had many lines and even carried his own storyline. It was about his love for his father and wanting to be just like him. John Ross wanted to run Ewing Oil some day. But J.R. ruined that dream, when he lost Ewing Oil to all the debts he owed. Photo courtesy of Star Galaxy |

John Ross was very sad like many other family members, when Uncle Bobby was believed to be dead. It turned out that the whole season was just a dream and after that DALLAS was never the same. Omri appeared in many movies during his teen years. He was featured in teen magazines as a heartthrob, a role that most young male actors look forward too. He also appeared in the films Hocus Pocus (1993), Matinee (1993), Adventures in Dinosaur City (1992). He is best known for his role on "Eerie, Indiana" a 1991 TV Series where he played Marshall Teller. Photo courtesy of Star Galaxy |

We got a chance to see Omri in 1996, his last TV appearance. He returned in the made for TV movie "Dallas J.R. Returns". He totally fit the role playing a young version of his on screen father J.R., played by Larry Hagman. John Ross was out of school and was living out of the country, in England, with his mom. He returned home to spend time with his dad, but he returned to J.R.'s death. (Or so he thought.) It was another one of J.R.'s plans. He faked his death. |
