Adonios and Isador Talamo
Morgan Corinthos
October 24, 2003 -2004

Morgan's birth was an emotional experience for everyone. Tamara Braun (Carly) describes, "It was very emotional and intimate...here I am--my legs up in the birthing position--and Maurice is down there pretending to deliver a baby. Because Maurice and I have such a trusting, respectful relationship, we didn't hold back; it was as real as it could be. They used 8-week-old twins to play the baby, they jellied them up...To watch Maurice hold this crying baby was just incredible. It was really something, an amazing experience." Apparently the crew was wrapped up in the scenes as well. The director came to talk with Benard after the scenes were finished, and was crying, noting that the scenes were very scary. Braun says it all seemed very real. "You have a real baby there and Maurice and me. The whole situation is set up like it's real." It was a little too real for Benard. "The delivery scenes may have been the most intense scenes I've ever done as an actor," he declares. "They put jelly on the baby, so he was slippery. I had to not only pick him up but also walk to another place, wrap him up and bring him back. If anything happened in those moments..." Seeing--and hearing--an actual infant brought the whole moment into focus for Braun, too. "It was so teeny and a twin, so it looked so young...it had that newborn cry, that hysterical, intense cry. If you're an open, feeling person, you're going to react." Benard pronounces that the scenes were "a trip. I would never want to do it again...for the first time ever, I had to go into a corner and cry, and I was crying uncontrollably." {pic and info from SOD, 11/18/03 and SOW 10/28/03}

Morgan Corinthos was born to Sonny and Carly Corinthos on October 24, 2003. Sonny arrived at the last minute and helped deliver his child. However, as he entered the abandoned house, Sonny ran into Lorenzo Alcazar, who was helping Carly. Sonny shot at Alcazar, but the bullet went through him and into Carly's head. She delivered a healthy baby just before going unconcious and falling into a coma. It wasn't until three weeks later that Carly woke up and saw her baby for the first time. The twins playing Morgan were just 8 weeks old when they filmed their first scenes as Morgan. They were preemies, so they were very small. {photo 11/4/03}

In March 2004, Carly and Sonny battled for custody of Morgan and his older brother, Michael. Carly won custody of the boys. Soon after, Morgan spiked a high fever and ended up in the hospital with scarlet fever. Sonny was out of town with Sam McCall, but he quickly returned when he learned his son was sick. {3/26/04 episode}

Amber Rose Tamblyn
Emily Bowen Quartermaine
1995-2002

Amber Rose Tamblyn was born May 14, 1983 in Santa Monica, California. Amber caught an agent's eye at the age of ten after a performance in "Pippi Longstocking". She has appeared in "Live Nude Girls"(1995) as Young Jill and "Johnny Mysto: Boy Wizard"(1996) as Sprout (shown here). Amber is the daughter of actor Russ Tamblyn and her mother, Bonnie, is a singer and artist. In addition, Amber writes poetry and has been published in the San Francisco publications, Cups and Poetry USA. Amber also enjoys singing, dancing, and theater in addition to her life on "General Hospital" {photo courtesy childstarlets.com, info courtesy imdb.com}

Amber joined GH in 1995 as Emily Bowen, the daughter of Paige Bowen, who was dying of breast cancer. Paige and Monica Quartermaine went through treatment together, but Paige was in bad shape. She and Monica made a pact that if something happened to her, Monica would adopt 11 year old Emily and raise her as her own. Emily has been a Quartermaine ever since.

In 1997, Emily became involved with drugs, along with Matt. One night she overdosed on heroin and fell off the roof of the Quartermaine house, nearly dying. She was treated by Dr. Dorman, who was involved in drugs as well. Thankfully Dr. Jones took over her care and she recovered.

Emily had two main loves while in Port Charles. Juan was her first teen love. They eventually grew apart. Zander and Emily were an unlikely pair. They first met at a rave and later became close after he kidnapped her. However, their chemistry was undeniable. {photos courtesy Kerry}

Amber left a successful 7-year run on GH and was catapulted onto a hit primetime show, where she stars as the main character. JOAN OF ARCADIA is a drama that follows a typical family facing atypical situations, not the least of which is their teenage daughter's sudden, unexpected conversations with God. A tough but soft-hearted police chief, Will Girardi (Joe Mantegna) is new to the city of Arcadia and dreams of providing a safe haven for his family and his community. An outbreak of serious crime in his idyllic new town challenges Girardi's desire for order, as do the ups-and-downs he faces with his family. Daughter Joan (Amber), an average teenager, has begun acting a little strange. No one knows that it has to do with the unusual way various people keep popping up, introducing themselves as God, and then giving her specific directions to do things, such as get a job. The appearances are hard for her to believe, even more so as she never knows who's going to turn up next. One minute it's a cute boy her own age, the next it's the lunch lady. For now, she's keeping it all a secret. Rounding out the Girardi family are her mother, Helen (Mary Steenburgen), her 15-year-old science-geek brother, Luke (Michael Welch), and her older brother, Kevin (Jason Ritter), a former high-school sports star who is in a wheelchair as a result of a car accident. Unsure of what God wants, and if she's even sane, Joan tentatively begins to follow God's cryptic directives, all the while trying to retain a "normal" teen-aged existence. {photos courtesy zap2it.com, info courtesy cbs.com}

Amber was noticed in the soap world for her role as Emily, but now she's reaching a much wider audience in her role as Joan. She was nominated for numerous awards and won a few in Joan of Arcadia's first season. You can almost guarantee that more will follow. Her awards this year include:

  • Saturn Award for Best Actress in a Television Series (2004)
  • Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (2004--awards to be handed out in September, 2004)
  • Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama (2004)
  • Golden Satellite Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Series, Drama (2004)
  • Teen Choice Award nominations for Choice Breakout TV Star - Female and Choice TV Actress - Drama/Action Adventure (2004)

Philip Tanzini
Jeremy Hewitt Logan
1978-1982

Jeremy Hewitt was adopted by Anne Logan, Audrey's niece after his grandmother died in the Lassa Fever epidemic that hit PC in the spring of 1979. Originally, Jeremy was left a large trust fund by his parents, but that story was quickly forgotten by the writers. Philip has continued acting as an adult. His most recent credit was a guest starring role on The Profiler in 1997. He has appeared in many films and guest starring roles on TV.

Jeremy boxed with Jeff Webber {Richard Dean Anderson}, who served as one of his many father figures.

In 1980, Philip won a Youth in Film award for his role on GH. He was nominated for the role the next year as well. That same year, he won a Soapy for best Juvenile actor. Several other GH castmates won Soapies that year as well, including Anthony Geary, Jane Elliot, and David Lewis (seen on left). The show won as well. Philip won the Soapy again in 1981. The "Favorite Juvenile" category was eliminated in 1982.
