After not seeing Lulu onscreen for about 4 months, Lulu paid her dad a short Christmas visit on December 23, 2003. It would be the last time we saw Stephanie Allen in the role. Lucky and Grandma Lesley brought her by so she could give her dad a picture in a frame. She gave her dad a big hug. Luke was pretty cold toward Lulu, only briefly putting on a smile for her. Luke crushed his daughter when he told her he couldn't join the family for Christmas eve dinner. Lucky blew up at him for being a lousy father, and told him that he couldn't hide behind Laura as an excuse for his behavior. Later, Luke went to his old house to peer in the window at his children's celebration. Nikolas challenged Luke to stop wallowing in his misery long enough to give his daughter a happy Christmas, but Luke told Nikolas he was unable to. Instead, Lulu spent Christmas with her brothers and Grandmother. {photos courtesy GH World} |

In February 2004, Tessa appeared on GH as Molly, a little girl trapped in the fire at the Port Charles hotel with her younger brother, Mickey. Jason and Brian helped save the pair over the course of three episodes. Tessa impressed the GH execs during this short stint, so it was just a few weeks later that they announced she would take over the role of Lulu. {pics courtesy childstarlets.com} |

The character of Lulu was actually de-aged when Tessa took over the role. This is a soap rarity. The GH execs clearly knew they had a talented girl on their hands and didn't want to let her get away. So they made an exception. Lulu should be 10, yet Tessa had not yet turned 8 when she joined GH. {pic on left courtesy childstarlets.com, pic on rightt courtesy GH World} |

Tessa's first scenes as Lulu were at Nikolas' funeral. Lulu has lost one of her brothers, her father and her mother. Although her brother and father's absences are just temporary, Lulu needs the support of her remaining family. Lucky doesn't spend lots of time with his little sister, but it's clear he has a special place in his heart for her. |
