Kara and Kimberly Albright
Meg Mackenzie
1989-90

By age 4, Kara and Kimberly had already appeared on Full House as Michelle's boyfriend Howie (pictured here with Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen), done commercials and had a role in A Cry for Help, an NBC TV movie. Their role on KL however signalled the end of their career. They've done nothing in showbiz since.

Howie was Rebecca's nephew. He and Michelle became fast friends. They didn't want to be separated when it was time for Howie to go back home to Nebraska. Kara and Kimberly didn't seem to mind cross-dressing for the role. {pics courtesy Vera}

Danielle Brisebois
Mary Frances Sumner
1983-84

This episode of All in the Family originally aired 10/15/78. Stephanie got a letter from her father saying he wasn't coming back for her. However, she told the Bunkers he would be, as soon as he got a house and all the pretty things he needed for her little girl to be happy. Stephanie asked Edith if she could stay with them. Archie was upset that her father disappointed her like this. He wanted the FBI to find him.

Danielle, born in 1969, is best known for her role on All in the Family as Stephanie, Archie's niece {photo on left, courtesy Child Starlets}. She played that role from 1978-79, when the show ended. She then continued the character in the series' spin-off, Archie Bunker's Place for 4 more seasons. She was 14 when she appeared on Knots. Mary Frances, Greg and Jane's daughter, appeared for only one season. Danielle began her career on Broadway in Annie and went on to appear on Days of our Lives in the late 80s and has appeared on various soundtracks as a singer. She released an album of her own in 1999 called Portable Life. {Photo on right courtesy Get Music}

Christian and Joseph Cousins
Bobby Gibson Ewing
1987-93

Joseph and Christian took over the role of Bobby when the character was aged from about 2 to 4 years old in the 1987-88 season.

Joseph and Christian were the only actors to play Bobby. At age five, the boys had interesting career choices, "They want to be Superman or Chuck Norris when they grow up," said their mom, Diane.

By 1990, the boys looked very different, so Joseph took over the role entirely. He returned for the KL: Return to the Cul-de-Sac miniseries in 1997.

Brian Austin Green
Brian Cunningham
1986-89

His role as Brian Cunningham was Brian's first acting role. He was just 13 at the time. During his run on KL, he played Ryan Whitehead in the Baby M TV Movie {photo on left, with costar Jenny Lewis}. Brian went on to spend 10 years on Beverly Hills, 90210 as David Silver. During his run on that show, he returned to Knots for the 1997 reunion movie, Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac. {Photos courtesy Star Galaxy}
