Unknown Babies
Asa "Ace" Buchanan
March 24, 2004-July 2004

We are unsure about who the baby actor/actresses are who played baby Ace. We know at least 2 different looking babies played the part. We are unaware if any of them are related to one another. Until we find out for sure who is who, we will list all Ace photos in order of appearance. If you have any information on any of the young actor or actresses in these roles, please contact us.

In March 2004, AMC and OLTL launched a storyline unlike any other on the soaps. It began on All My Children and then moved to One Life to Live. Then for about two weeks, it was told on both shows simultaneously. This was the ad that was in magazines for the storyline. It featured two babies and the tag "Stolen at Birth." From what we can tell, neither of these babies actually appeared on OLTL or AMC. The were just used for the promo.

Kelly's brother, Paul Cramer, stole Babe Chandler's little boy. Kelly wanted a baby to replace the baby boy that she miscarried. So, she begged Paul to get her one before her husband, Kevin, could ever find out. Paul handed the baby over to Kelly and told her to take good care of him. Kelly said, "I can't believe your mommy didn't want you." This statement was so untrue. Babe wanted her baby boy more than anything, Paul played God and stole this baby from his mother.

Kevin and Kelly decided to name the baby after Kevin's grandfather, Asa Buchanan. His nickname is Ace. Click here to see Ace's birth on AMC and other scenes of Ace on AMC. {3-2004}

Kevin and Kelly took Ace all over Llanview within the first few weeks of his life to show him off to everybody. {4-2004}

Ace's check up. He was a healthy baby boy. Kevin made the comment that a mistake must have been made. Ace had the wrong type of blood. {5-2004}

Kelly doesn't know what to do now. Someone is sending Kevin letters and telling him that Ace doesn't belong to him. Kelly is lying all the time trying to keep a hold of him. She wants the baby, even if Kevin doesn't. But she can't let Kevin know the baby doesn't belong to either of them.

Liam and Aidan O'Donnell
Asa "Ace" Buchanan (baby James)
May 2004-present

Not only did Kelly get Ace illegally, but the infant was soon in the middle of a custody battle with his new parents. After Kelly realized having baby Ace wouldn't help her keep Kevin, she decided she wanted sole custody of the baby. Kevin, of course, wanted full custody as well, just to spite Kelly. He got the baby the first time they went to court by lying to the judge. Liam and Aidan were most likely cast at this time because Ace suddenly had an increase in airtime due to the custody battle.

Kelly met Todd in the park to talk about the letters and what she was going to do, now that Kevin knows he is not Ace's father. Kelly's plan is to tell all of Llanview that Todd is the baby's father. That did not go over well with Blair {Kelly's cousin and Todd's lover} o. Todd ended up telling Blair the truth and now Blair is out to get Kelly and make sure the baby goes back to his birth parents. {7-6-2004, OLTL }

When crazy Margaret kidnapped Ace it marked the second time this child had been kidnapped. Margaret was in love with Todd and when she found out that Ace was Todd's son (he wasn't), she wanted to keep him for her own, thinking Todd would come to her. Todd found Ace and returned him to Kelly.

Kelly loved her son and wanted only the best for him. Kevin also loved Ace, but wanted to get back at Kelly for sleeping with another man (so he thought). So, Kevin took custody of Ace from Kelly. Ace was living with Kevin when he was kidnapped for the third time by his birth mother Babe Chandler and his Uncle, Jamie Martin. Ace is currently living his life as James (the new name that his birth mother Babe picked for him) somewhere in the USA. He is on the run from his birth father JR Chandler and the Buchanans.

Jarred Sturman
Asa "Ace" Buchanan (baby James/Adam Chandler Jr. III)
January 2005-present

In January 2005, right as the baby switch storyline came to another high point, Liam and Aidan O'Donnell became sick. In fact, they were replaced mid-episode. Jarred Sturman, who was no stranger to AMC, stepped in as baby James, and hasn't left. Jarred played baby Bess during the christening and wedding scenes several months ago, so AMC knew they could call on him last minute. He was the same age and had the same coloring as Ace. Jarred jumped right in and filmed 18 scenes straight, sleeping through the first several, where Babe and Jamie were caught, and JR and Kevin both tried to get "their son" back. Jarred was born on February 7, 2004. He has an older brother named Matthew. {photo courtesy http://www.expectingmodels.com/}

Kevin and Kelly got Ace back immediately. They were the last ones to legally have custody of the boy. Of course, we all know they have no DNA rights to the child. {photo courtesy Jaeger Li, 1.27.05 episode}

Kevin was having breakfast with Ace and convinced Kelly to join him. Ace seemed happy back at his home. But, Kevin and Kelly were back together only for his benefit. That certainly wouldn't last long. It was obvious in some scenes that someone was off to the side keeping Jarred's attention. He kept laughing. {photo courtesy Jaeger Li, 1.27.05 episode}

When Jason took over the role, Al had a new mother, Luna, who he loved very much. He also had two new siblings, Frankie and Leslie, whom he took care of. Laurence Fishburne
Joshua West Hall
1973-1976

Larry was born in Augusta, Georgia in July 30, 1961. He was 12 years old when he joined OLTL. Larry left the show in 1976 to sign a Hollywood contract. He is one of OLTL's most famous alumni. He has become a very succesful actor and the number of movies and productions he has participated in is big. Some of his famous roles are: Cowboy Curtis in Pee Wee Herman's Show, Max in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Ike Turner in What's Love Got to Do with It, Othello in the movie Othello, Morpheus in Matrix and MANY MANY others. Besides being a great actor, Larry had also been an executive producer in the movies Miss Evers' Boys in 1997, Hoodlum the same year, and Always Outnumbered in 1998.

Josh was a street kid; he sold Eileen Siegel illegal painkillers on the street and stole things here and there. Lt. Ed Hall and his wife Carla couldn't stand still and decided to adopt him. Of course Josh agreed and was very fond of his new parents. Once he was loved, everything changed for him.

Gregory Fountain
Frankie Holden

In order to get back at Max, RJ Gannon ordered Max's twins kidnapped. He had no idea what the guys who kidnapped them meant to do with them. They were sold to a Canadian family and the kidnappers faked their death. Max didn't believe that his kids were dead and didn't rest until they were found in Canada. Later on they went to live with Luna's family in NC.

Danielle Harris
Sammie Garretson
1985-1987

After Sam Garretson was electrocuted in the hot tub, she was clinically dead, but they told her family that she was pregnant and that the baby could be saved. Her friend Delilah offered to carry the baby in her womb (a procedure that wasn't invented yet in the early 80s). Sammie was born to Delila and Rafe and attended their wedding. She's dealt with her mother being kidnapped once and her father working over time.

After Danielle left the show she played Jamie Lloyd Carruthers in the movie Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers in 1988 and in 1989 she continued this role in the movie Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers. In 1992 she joined the cast of the series "Roseanne" as Molly Tilden. In 1993 she played Priscilla in The Woman Who Loved Elvis and in 1994 she played the role of Jessica in Roseanne: An Unauthorized Biography. She participated in more movies such as: Wish Upon a Star, Daylight, Dizzyland & Poor White Trash. She gave her voice to Debbie Thornberry and other characters in the series "The Wild Thornberrys".
