Daniel Thornhart
September 3, 2001-?

Daniel was born prematurely to Ian Thornhart and Eve Lambert on September 3, 2001. His birth became part of the Tainted Love and Tempted storylines, as Eve fought with vampires to keep her son. His birth, along with his parent's marriage, occurred in the first episode of the Tempted arc. In early 2002, the girls were cast as two of the many babies playing "Baby Bob" on the short-lived TV series.

April 2002-October 3, 2003

Danny was recast as Superstition began. As Ian (Thorsten Kaye) spoke at Eve's funeral, Danny sat with Livvie and just listened. He smiled whenever his dad needed to see a smile. Thorsten loves little Walker and beams like a proud papa when he talks about his onscreen son.

Walker has been incredibly busy in showbiz. In addition to his role as Danny, he was featured in a Baby Gap print campaign. Other print work includes Robinson's May and Old Navy . He appeared in commercials for Mercedes, AT&T, Ikea and Sharp TV and a promo for the Discovery Channel. {pic courtesy winningface.com}

Even though Port Charles' new taping schedule means that production is shut down for three months at a time, Walk wasn't recast after the summer 2002 hiatus. He suddenly was just a much older Danny. He isn't seen very often anymore, but always charms when he's onscreen. {pics courtesy http://groups.msn.com/PCScreenCaps}

Hope Hartman
2001

Hope reappeared in PC as part of a huge storyline. Her mother, Valerie Hollander (Ebonie Smith) was first seen in Port Charles in 2000 when Jamal was helping to save her from thug, Cedric, in order to protect her unborn child. Thanks to the work of Livvie and Caleb, Valerie (Alanna Boatright) reappears in September 2001 and begins following Jamal and later tells him that she had given up her baby, Hope, for adoption. Then she and Jamal discuss the night they spent together. Later, Valerie gives Jamal the photo of Hope seen on the left. Allison finds the photo in his wallet and fears that Jamal might be Hope's father (he is). She decides to try to find Hope to get to the truth. Hope was living happily with the Hartmans. Allison meets Bill and Cindy Hartman and they say that Hope couldn't be Jamal's because their daughter was born prematurely. We later discover they are lying about this because they fear losing their daughter. However, they give Allison a lock of her hair and Allison and Jack decide to have a DNA test run, to verify the baby's paternity. By early November, Valerie's visitation of her daughter had been revoked (the Hartmans fear losing her entirely) and she is devastated. Before long, Hope needed a kidney transplant, which Gabriela (Jamal's newly discovered half-sister) provided. Jamal realized his daughter had a good home, and signed over his parental rights. Valerie decided to get even, then decided to win Jamal for herself. She hounded him for weeks, even moving in with him and Alison, then attempting suicide, all of which pushed Ali into friend Rafe's arms. Finally, in January 2002, Valerie escaped the psych ward and held Alison at gunpoint. Jamal ran in front of her, causing a struggle which led to Valerie's death. Jamal really blamed himself, but took his rage out on Alison, telling her to get out and never come back. We haven't seen baby Hope since. {some info from soapcentral.com, photo courtesy winningface.com}

Colton James
Neil Kanelos
1998-2000

On February 12, 1997, Colton appeared on Newsradio, in an episode titled, "Kids." He was one of the many kids given a tour of the station. That same year, he appeared in The Lost World: Jurassic Park as Benjamin, who is frightened by a T-Rex in his backyard. {Photo on left courtesy Star Oasis, photo on right courtesy Young Actor's Web}

When Colton joined the show, he was only the second child actor to be cast in a permanent role. Finally Serena had another character her age to interact with. {Photo on far left and right, courtesy Star Galaxy}

Neil first appeared on Port Charles when his mother, Courtney came to town. Neil's father, John Kanelos was murdered and Neil's leukemia was out of remission. She sought medical help for him. In the coming years, Neil would discover his father wasn't John. Originally he believed his father was Joe Scanlon (left). Then, after Joe discovered Christina Baldwin was a bone marrow match for Neil, it was revealed that his father was also Christina's father, Frank Scanlon, Joe's brother (right). {Photos courtesy KerryAnn}

Neil still thought Joe was his father when he discovered that Frank was his true Dad. He wasn't exactly thrilled with the situation. Neil ran away after he found out, again jeopardizing his health. Neil got angry with the fact that people kept lying to him and it took quite a while before his temper settled down. When Frank and Courtney informed him that they were no longer going to live at the Scanlon house, that they were going to find an apartment where they could live as a family, Neil was angry. But Joe helped make the transition smoother and Neil finally started to get a little closer to Frank. And although Neil doesn't call Frank "Dad", they still have a very close father-son relationship. {Photos and info courtesy KerryAnn}

Colton's other roles include the films Extreme Honor (2001 as Jason Brascoe), The Cell (2000 as Edward Baines), Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999 as Friendly Son) and the TV movies A Memory in My Heart (1999 as Ethan) and Emma's Wish (1998 as Danny Bridges). He has also made guest appearances on Titus, the X-Files, The Norm Show, Sliders and Seinfeld. In 2000, Colton was replaced with another actor in the role of Neil after he was unavailable when PC needed him. As an actor on recurring status, he was exploring other projects. PC called for him to appear as Neil, but he was unavailable, thus necessitating the recast.

Kaitlyn Maggio
Christina Baldwin
December 2001-present

In December 2001, as part of the Miracles Happen storyline, Kevin began seeing an unknown woman, meeting with her in the park, going to her hotel room, etc. We soon found out the woman was Julie Ramsey, who was dying. She'd come to Port Charles to give Christina back to Lucy. Kevin surprised Lucy at their wedding by revealing their flower girl, Christina.

Christina is lucky to have 2 mommies who love her. Since Lucy married Kevin, he makes the 4th father for Christina. Her birth father is Frank, while her adoptive father is Scott. Kevin and Chris are both stepfathers to her. She also has three sisters, Karen (half, adopted), Livvie (half, step) and Serena (adopted).

After being on the show for a year, Kaitlyn now has many more lines, almost always saying something to touch her estranged mom and dad. Her most interesting event of 2002 was getting Ian to dress up for a tea party with her, lipstick and all. {pics courtesy http://groups.msn.com/PCScreenCaps}

Where are they now?
February 2004: Katie is doing great in kindergarten. She really likes school. She is auditioning a bit but has cut back a little. Katie went to an ice skating competition and took home 2 first place trophies! She also loves being 6 now! She's still small, but is now 45 1/2 inches tall. {info courtesy the Maggio family}

Angela and Michele Mora
Christina Baldwin
1999-2000

Julie, who was living at Ferncliff, was determined to keep her pregnancy hidden so no one could take her baby away from her.  She wore a pillow under her shirt so that none of the doctors or guards there would realize what was going on.  Then, she snuck out of Ferncliff when she went into labor.  Chris Ramsey helped deliver her baby girl and Julie decided to name her Christina. She found someone to care for the child until she was released.

On the day of the Nurses' Ball, Janelle, a friend of Julie's, made up a story about the baby, giving her to Tammy. Alan assisted Tammy with examining the child, deciding they needed to find a home for her.

Christina was lucky enough to be loved by so many people. (l to r:) her mother, Julie; her father, Frank; her adopted parents, Scotty and Lucy; and her adopted mother, Lucy. {Photos courtesy Kerry}

Christina found a home with Scotty and Lucy Baldwin. They had her for nearly a year before Julie reclaimed her daughter and fled the country. All Lucy now has to remember her daughter is this picture.

Michele and Angela's showbiz career wasn't limited to soaps, as so many other young twins careers are. They also appeared in a commercial for Playtex and in the film Dragonfly with Kevin Costner. They had a role on the Lifetime series Strong Medicine as well. {Photo courtesy winningface.com}
