Alexander and Zachary played Owen only for the pilot episode. Pilots are usually filmed in the winter or spring before the next fall TV season. When Party of Five was ready to begin filming for the 1994-1995 season, the boys were several months older than in the pilot, yet in the story, no time had passed. So, the role was recast with Brandon and Taylor Porter, who were the same age Alexander and Zachary were in the pilot. The boys' other TV role was in the 1994 TV movie based on a true story, "Snowbound: The Jim and Jennifer Stolpa Story." They played Clayton Stolpa. {photos courtesy UK Terrestrial Cult TV: Kelli Williams} |

Lacey found the role that would make her a star when she was cast as Claudia Salinger on FOX's Party of Five in 1994. Claudia was the second from the youngest child in the Salinger family. She was also a violin prodigy, a talent she inherited from her deceased mother. In the pilot of the show, Young Claudia pawns her violin and announces that she'd rather be a regular kid than a child prodigy. Her violin instructor, Ross Werkman, reminds her that she has a rare gift and encourages her to stick with it. {photos courtesy partyoffive.com} |

Jacob joined the cast of "Party of Five" in its 5th Season. In the new season, Owen felt left out by the coming of his new baby niece Diana. He had troubling adjusting to the newest Salinger. He thought that his big brother Charlie had no time for him anymore. He would rather stay at Bailey's than at home. A custody battle and learning problems were two key storylines during Jacob's tenure as Owen. It was the first time Owen really had stories of his own. {photos courtesy www.po5.co.uk} |
