Abby {Morgan} and her three "parents." Abby was born to Ashley Abbott. Early in her pregnancy, Abby claimed Christian was the baby's dad. She later admitted to Brad that it was just a tale she concocted in order to keep Jack quiet. However, after her birth, her paternity still wasn't clear. Ashley's water broke, and Victor took Ashley to the hospital, but didn't call Brad as Ashley requested. So when Ashley delivered a healthy baby girl, the nurse, assuming that Victor was the father, handed him the child. Ashley demanded that Victor give her the baby, but he doesn't understand why she's so upset and continues to hold the baby. Brad arrives and reinforces Ashley's plea, and Olivia takes the baby from Victor and gives her to her mother. As Ashley takes her daughter in her arms for the first time, Victor leaves. {pics courtesy Vera, 11.13.00-11.14.00, info courtesy http://www.mysoapsonline.com/ } |

Ricky was born on May 10, 2002 to Paul Williams and Isabella Braña He was first seen on May 14, 2002. Ricky was named after both of his grandfathers--Isabella's father, Ricardo, and Paul's father, Carl. Isabella didn't want to tell Paul that she was pregnant because she felt that he was too hung up on Chris, so she had a brief affair with Michael and told him that he was the father. Michael was outraged at first, even drew up legal papers for her sign. But Isabella had something on Michael from the past, so he backed down and went along with her demands of rent, baby furniture, and everything she needed to live until the baby was born. Michael also arranged for a job for her in another town for afterward. Just as Michael was softening to the idea of a child and a future with Isabella, and Paul was getting involved with former wife Lauren Fenmore, Paul found out about the baby's paternity and wanted to be a father to the child. {pics courtesy Vera, 5.14.02} |

Isabella was played by then-unknown Eva Longoria, who is now on Desperate Housewives. Isabella was so happy to have her new son. However, there were many lies that had led her to this point. Paul had no idea about the secrets she held. {pics on left courtesy Vera, 5.20.02, right 5.22.02} |

Ricky celebrated his first 4th of July dressed in a full holiday outfit. He was with grandma Mary as well as his mom and dad. Before Ricky's birth, Paul's mother, Mary, went to great lengths to try to convince him that Isabella was all wrong for him and would ruin his life, and to convince Isabella to go away to a home for unwed mothers. All despite the fact that Isabella is providing Mary with the grandchild, and Paul with the child, they both had always wanted. Mary has even begged for help from unlikely sources in Lauren, Christine, and even Michael - all of whom she disapproves as well, but had had no luck at all. {pics courtesy Vera, 7.4.02} |
