Dana and Lauren played baby Heather. They shared the role for about 6 months and then were replaced. Their casting in the role of single child is one of the first, if not the first instance of casting twins in a soap role. The girls have done a few guest appearences since leaving the role of Heather. A little bit of music info about Dana and Lauren: Dana is an award winning banjo player who developed a love for the banjo and bluegrass music at age ten. She went on to win many contests including at age fourteen, including the prestigious New York City Banjo and Band Contest, the well-known California Topanga Canyon Banjo contest and Southern California's Follows Festival five times in a row. Lauren is an award winning fiddle performer. Lauren developed a desire to study fiddle after first becoming an accomplished pianist by age eleven. She has won many contests including the California Old Time Fiddler's Convention in Goleta California and Southern California's Follow Festival. Conci was the second actress to play Heather. She played her for one year as a teenager. Conci is the daughter of Y&R head writer Kay Alden. She is also the sister of John Alden-Nelson who played young Nicholas Newman. Many years earlier, Conci appeared on Y&R as Elizabeth Jean 'Betsy' Sanderson in 1984. |

In May 1994, Heather was called as the star witness in her mother, April's trial for the stabbing death of her abusive husband, Robert Lynch. Heather told the jury that her mother never told her about the abuse until after she killed him. April was desperately trying to protect her daughter, by keeping her out of the whole situation. Following the trial, April took her daughter back to New York. Heather still doesn't know that her father is Paul Williams. |

R.J. was in the role of Brooks for only a short time. He had lots of other job offers that interferred with his schedule at Y&R. He went on to star in lots of other movies. After spending 15 years as an actor, R.J. decided to make the transition behind the camera. He attended the USC film school, where he made the critically acclaimed student film, "Shattered Image." The film went on to sweep 14 of 14 film festivals. Andre was in the role of Brooks longer than any other actor. He played Brooks for two years when he was about 8 years old. Brooks' parents were Leslie and Lance Prentiss. Andy's first acting job was when he was just 5 years old. He starred in The Man in the Santa Claus Suit as Terry Travis. His acting career went on into his teen years, where he often appeared in teen magazines like Tiger Beat. He stopped acting after his last appearence on Circus of the Stars in 1987.
