Hannah and Desiree played Daniel for two years. They had very little hair so when they put boy clothes on, they looked the part. Young and the Restless is known for hiring the opposite sex for a child role. They usually just take whatever child or children seems to fit the role, not caring if it is a boy or girl. So far it has always worked out. The girls are pictured here with on-screen mom Phyllis {Michelle Stanfford}. Michelle and Michael enjoyed working with the girls. "They are great babies. They hardly ever cry on screen." |

On July 24, 2002, Phyllis had a flashback of Daniel on his baptism day. She was thinking of her little boy while she was in the middle of the Kyle mess. It was great to see the Wheelan's nearly 8 years after this scene originally aired. {pics courtesy Vera} |

Phyllis was very happy that Danny thought it was best for Daniel to have both of his parents under the same roof. For a short time, it meant the family was together. |

Daniel was shown alot during his first few years of life., since his parents were always fighting over him. Danny is the biological child of Phyllis Summers and Brian Hamilton. Phyllis lied to Danny about the father of the baby. When they got divorced, Danny sued for custody of the child he loved, and won. |

Michael was on the show for 6 months and was seen often. He appeared at least 2 to 3 times a week for 6 months as the story heated up on "who" was the biological father and was after they discovered that Danny wasn't his father. |

Michael (seen here in 2005) was born on April 4, 1994 in California and began acting at the age of 2. He caught the acting bug from his older sister Samantha who was a young working actress. His first job was a commercial for Fisher Price. Soon after, he became a regular print model for Mattel. He landed his first television role at age 2, playing Daniel Romalotti Jr. on the Young and the Restless. By 3 years old he landed a lead role in the feature film The Deep End of the Ocean starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Treat Williams and Whoopi Goldberg. He played Ben Cappadora, Michelle and Treat's son. At age 5 he began working as a regular comedic actor on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Some of Michael's television credits include Fox's hit comedy Titus, the WB's, Angel, Fox' s new thriller The Inside (episode Pre-Filer, 6/22/2005, as Cody Comack) and others. When he's not in front of the camera Michael can be heard behind the scenes with voice over credits in Big Daddy starring Adam Sandler, I Am Sam with Sean Penn, Death to Smoochy starring Danny DeVito, Double Jeopardy starring Ashley Judd, as well as in Disney's PS2 video games. On stage he has played roles in the Sound of Music, Tiny Tim in Scrooge, and Freddy Rogers in Will Rogers Follies. Recently Michael filmed a couple of comic skits on Mad TV and of course, The Tonight Show . When Michael is not acting he is on the ice playing hockey, traveling with his team throughout the U.S., or on the baseball field playing ball. {pic and bio courtesy McElroy family} |

Chase Bebak played the role of Daniel for about 6 months. The character wasn't aged at all with this recast. It seemed they were recasting because the former actor in the role was unable to return for whatever reason. Daniel wasn't seen very often. He was recast when he wasn't able to appear as Daniel because of other commitments. He did an Oreo Commercial with his little brother Gage, that got him a guest appearance on Jay Leno. He was also in "Yup, Yup Man" (2000) as Young Robert and "Human Nature" (2001) as young Nathan. |
