Hayden Tank
Victor Adam Newman Jr.
1996-1997

These pictures are from one of Hayden's first shows on Y&R. He had many lines and enjoyed talking on screen. He told his blind mother about the tree, "It's beautiful. I wish you could see it, mommy." Victor Jr talked about the late Cliff Wilson, who he thought of as his father. He made everyone cry. "That litle boy is just so wonderful." Bette Rea told SOW about Hayden Tank, after he made everyone cry at the Christmas filming in 1996. Hayden and Scotty Leavenworth got to take a present home from the set.

Hayden, born 28 November 1992 in Orange County, CA, was just 4 years old when he started on Y&R. This was his first soap role and his largest TV role to date. He enjoyed working with Eric Braeden {Victor} and Signy Coleman {Hope}. {photo on far right courtesy katef.free.fr}

He did his own sitcom for a short while called "Maggie Winters." He played Henry Foster in the 1998 series, opposite former Days of Our Lives actresses, Brianna and Brittany McConnell.

In 1999, Hayden starred in Blast from the Past. He played 3 1/2 year old Adam, even though he was actually 7 years old. He was small for his age, which is what directors casting young roles look for in older actors. Very rarely does an actual two or three year old ever act in a movie.

Hayden starred in Rules of Engagement in 2000, where he played Justin Mourain. His facial expressions are always good and on cue.

In 2000, he starred in two more movies, Space Cowboys and The Perfect Storm. He is pictured here as Dale Murphy, Jr. in The Perfect Storm.

Hayden's career took off after Y&R he did many guest appearences on well known sitcoms and dramas like "Six Feet Under" (2001) playing "Young Nate" for three episodes, "The Drew Carey Show" (2000) playing "Matthew," "ER" (2000) playing "Edgar Braley," and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" (1999) playing "Robbie". He also did a made for TV movie called Replacing Dad in 1998, where he played Willie. In 2000 he did one more movie called The David Cassidy Story, made for TV, he played Young David. He is one busy little boy.

Hayden returned for one episode in the summer of 2002. Victor visited Hope and Victor Jr. at their home in Kansas. So many years earlier, Victor agreed that Victor Jr. should be raised as a "normal" kid in his mother's world (a Kansas farm). Hope reassured Victor that the boy was doing well, noting he was happy, healthy, a good student and "an athlete like his daddy." {pics courtesy Vera, 6.26.02}
